THIS new Saba Qamar drama is all anyone can talk about… here’s why

Saba Qamar shared a picture holding a script titled Pamaal, and fans of Pakistani dramas are now eagerly waiting for it to air on Green Entertainment. The actress will star alongside Usman Mukhtar.

The script is written by Zanjabeel Asim Shah, the name behind powerful dramas like Cheekh, Balaa, Pyar Ke Sadqay, and Noor Jahan. Her stories are emotional, deep, and full of twists. This time, her script is being directed by Khizer Idrees, known for Laapata, Badshah Begum, and the film Verna.

Saba Qamar is known for bold and strong roles in Baaghi, Fraud, and Sar-e-Rah. Meanwhile, Usman Mukhtar is known for his mysterious and intense characters in Anaa, Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay, and Jafaa. Their pairing is already creating buzz.

He also shared his thoughts on the drama, saying, “I’m really looking forward to working with Saba Qamar. She’s a great actor!”

The name Pamaal hints at loss, destruction, or maybe a big emotional storm. And Malika, meaning “queen”, could be a woman who once had power and now wants it back. Perhaps it’s about revenge, betrayal, or a painful love story. Or maybe Malika is hiding something darker than we expect?

Maggots were eating him alive — one person saved him: Celebs praise viral act of humanity

A deeply emotional rescue video shared by The Crazy Cats @thecrazycatsproject is making waves online — not just for the powerful story it tells but also for the way it moved people, including celebrities like Nadia Afgan and Zhalay Sarhadi.

The video shows the journey of a drug addict who was found in terrible condition outside Data Darbar in Lahore. His head was covered in flies and maggots, and part of his skull was visible. “Nobody would ever want to witness what I saw,” wrote the person who rescued him.

Despite sitting near a police checkpoint, no one came forward to help him. He had been badly beaten, had multiple fractures, and was mentally unwell.

But The Crazy Cats didn’t look away.

It took six hours to clean the maggots from his head. Then came days of medical treatment, months of healing, and continuous care. After five months, the man has recovered physically, although he still struggles mentally. He has no official ID, and nothing has been found about his identity.

    Celebrities also took notice.

Actress Nadia Afgan commented under the post: “Allah tumko iss ka ajar day.” (May God reward you for this.)

Actress and model Zhalay Sarhadi also shared her love and support, “May Allah grant you with much happiness and success. We’ll partner for the kindness and humanity you showed.”

  • ‘Our dramas are poetic, not Bollywood copies’; Fatima Bhutto urges Pakistan to embrace its strengths

‘Our dramas are poetic, not Bollywood copies’; Fatima Bhutto urges Pakistan to embrace its strengths

Renowned author and public figure Fatima Bhutto recently shared her thoughts on Pakistani television dramas and their place in global entertainment. In a new interview, she praised the unique identity of Pakistani content and urged creators to build on their strengths rather than trying to imitate others.

“What Pakistan understood very clearly and very early was that we cannot do Bollywood the way Bollywood does it. That’s already happening elsewhere. Our direction was always different,” she said.

Fatima highlighted that Pakistani dramas are known for being subtle and refined. “The language we use in our dramas is poetic,” she added. “That’s our real strength — and we need to support that more.”

She believes that right now is a great time for television worldwide, especially with the rise of streaming platforms. “TV shows are easier to watch on phones and shorter formats work better for global audiences,” she said. “This is our time.”

But she also pointed out the need for change. “We need more stories, and more freedom to tell them. We should ask difficult questions and talk about the issues we face as a society — and also, how we want to be seen by the world.”

Her comments sparked mixed reactions online. Some fans strongly agreed, saying Pakistan should focus on its rich language and culture instead of copying Bollywood.

One fan wrote, “Absolutely agree! We should work on our strengths rather than go for half-baked stuff.”

Another added, “Pakistani culture is high culture. Even Bollywood doesn’t use Hindi properly — they rely on Urdu. Let’s not copy them.”

Others reflected on how today’s dramas differ from the classics. “She’s complimenting the golden age of PTV in the 80s,” a viewer commented. “Today, most dramas feel like chaos. Some are good — but mostly, it’s chaos.”

Some viewers pointed to recent successes as proof that Pakistani stories can shine on the big screen too — mentioning films like Joyland and Queen of My Dreams which have tackled social and political issues in bold new ways.

At a time where global audiences are more open to diverse content, Fatima Bhutto’s message is clear: stay original, be bold, and tell stories that matter.

  • New mom Dania Shah calls out husband over ‘fake gift’ drama

New mom Dania Shah calls out husband over ‘fake gift’ drama

Pakistani social media star Dania Shah and her husband Hakeem Shehzad have welcomed their first child into the world—a baby boy named Dayan.

The couple shared the happy news with fans in a celebration vlog, showing emotional moments and the many gifts they received. But what started as a joyful vlog soon turned into online drama.

In the same video, Dania criticized her husband, saying he used the event as a publicity stunt, claiming that Shehzad pretended to gift their son a car, even handing over a key on camera—only to take it back later.

“The moment was supposed to be about my son, not a marketing gimmick,” Dania said, clearly upset.

She also said Shehzad focused more on promoting the weddings of his other children during the ceremony and didn’t even mention baby Dayan’s name the whole time.

Dania, who gifted her baby a gold chain, appeared frustration about the lack of sincerity from her husband.

The couple got married in July 2024 and often post life updates online, especially through Dania’s vlogs.

In the video, she also showed gifts from Shehzad’s first wife, adding that the event felt awkward and messy, especially when it should have been all about welcoming their baby boy.

This is Dania’s second marriage. She was earlier married to the late televangelist Aamir Liaquat Hussain in 2022. Their marriage drew massive attention due to their 30-year age gap and a messy divorce, which was followed by controversies involving leaked videos.

After Aamir’s sudden death, Dania faced criticism from fams but eventually moved on and married Shehzad, a public figure known from Loha Paar.

While many fans congratulated Dania on the birth of baby Dayan, others criticized her for turning a personal moment into online drama. But some people supported her for calling out staged social media content, saying it takes guts to speak up.

Whether people agree or not, Dania Shah has made it clear: she’s standing up for her son and prioritising real life over fake content.

  • ‘I miss you’; Police officer’s unexpected message for Onijah Robinson goes viral

‘I miss you’; Police officer’s unexpected message for Onijah Robinson goes viral

In a recent viral video, Shabana Jilani, a police officer from Karachi, commented on a video posted by Onijah Robinson, an American woman who became a sensation in Pakistan and around the world.

In the comment, Shabana wrote: “Be happy always, Onijah. I miss you. Regards, Shabana.”

This sweet message quickly captured attention, not just for its heartfelt tone but also for the deep connection between the two women, which won the hearts of many. But what’s the story behind this unexpected bond?

Earlier this year, Shabana Jilani became an unlikely star when her compassionate interactions with Onijah Robinson went viral on TikTok. Onijah, who had travelled to Pakistan to marry a 19-year-old man she met online, found herself abandoned after her relationship took an unexpected turn. Her fiancé refused to marry her, leaving Onijah stranded and emotionally distressed.

When the police were called to assist, Shabana Jilani was asked to provide security and help. Despite the professional nature of her role, Shabana’s kind-hearted and compassionate approach won the admiration of many. Their interactions were filled with warmth and empathy.

Shabana recalled: “My first meeting with Madam Onijah took place at Jinnah Hospital when she was being admitted. We spoke in a good manner, and it was a good experience for both of us.”

Her approach went beyond duty. She made sure Onijah felt safe, offering her a shawl for warmth, and engaged with her on a personal level. This empathetic side of Shabana, a seasoned police officer who lost her husband in the line of duty, resonated with people worldwide. Her interactions revealed a softer, caring side of Pakistan’s law enforcement.

After spending over three months in Pakistan, Onijah returned to New York, but the bond between her and Shabana remained strong. As Onijah left Pakistan, she told Shabana: “I miss you so much, Shabana.”

Shabana cherishes these memories, saying: “Good memories, good times, and beautiful moments. Just as she remembers them, so do I.”

While Onijah’s journey was filled with ups and downs, from her rocky relationship with Nidal Memon to her viral moments and allegations of catfishing, her bond with Shabana Jilani stands out as a symbol of human connection and kindness in a challenging situation.

Shabana’s online comments only added to the growing admiration for their bond, showing that sometimes the most unexpected relationships leave lasting impressions.

  • Social media in meltdown as Feroze Khan reveals wife was his ‘therapist’

Social media in meltdown as Feroze Khan reveals wife was his ‘therapist’

Netizens are arguing over Feroze Khan’s approach towards “ethical boundaries” when it comes to the relationship between a patient and his or her therapist, since after the actor revealed that his second wife was his “shrink”.

As per the details, Khan was recently honoured with the prestigious Star of Pakistan award at the UK House of Lords for his contributions to the Pakistani cinema. The Khuda Aur Mohabbat star received the award from Baroness Paula Uddin, MP Rup Haq, Lord Kuldip Singh and entrepreneur Mansoor Shafique.

However, what was meant to be a celebratory moment turned into a hot topic of debate on social media, especially within Pakistan’s mental health community, as Khan, at the event, revealed that his wife used to be his therapist.

Speaking to reporters, he described his relationship journey with his wife, saying, “She’s the kindest soul. She came at a very rough time in my life… my wife was actually my shrink. I needed someone to talk to, and one day I just asked her out and told her I’d like to marry her.”

The candid confession raised serious concerns among mental health professionals, especially those trained in clinical psychology. Shortly after the clip went viral, content creator aeman.haroon shared a video questioning the ethical boundary allegedly crossed.

“Did he just say what I think he said? A psychologist is not allowed to get romantically involved with a client. In many countries, it’s illegal. At the very least, it’s unethical,” she explained, adding that such a relationship could lead to emotional manipulation and misuse of the therapist’s knowledge of a client’s vulnerabilities.

Another clinical psychologist and content creator, Amna Arshad, who runs the page your.desi.therapist, posted a detailed video titled “Why Psychologists and Clients Cannot Have Relationships Outside of Therapy”.

“When a person is sharing deep emotional wounds, addiction issues, fears of abandonment, and personal trauma, they are in an extremely vulnerable state. The therapist holds all the power in that dynamic. If that power turns into a romantic connection, it creates a dangerous imbalance,” she said in her video.

Amna emphasised that such situations could lead to emotional dependency, blurred boundaries and even therapists avoiding necessary confrontations for fear of upsetting the partner — ultimately harming the client’s healing process.

While Khan and his wife have not yet reacted to the debate, mental health professionals are calling for stricter regulations around therapeutic practice and licensing. This situation has opened up a wider conversation about the need for a national ethical board in Pakistan to govern clinical practices and prevent such scenarios in the future.
