Donald Trump’s ex-daugter-in-law is dating legendary athlete

Vanessa Trump, the former wife of Donald Jr, son of US President Donald Trump, is dating a sports superstar, American media outlets have reported.

Golf legend Tiger Woods has reportedly found new love with Vanessa Trump. She was previously linked to a Hollywood star and even a Saudi prince.

Vanessa, who shares five children with Trump Jr., was recently spotted with Woods and their kids. Reports suggest that the two have been dating since Thanksgiving and live close to each other, with their children attending the same school.

Before her marriage to Trump Jr., Vanessa dated Valentin Rivera, suspected to be a member of the Latin Kings gang during high school. He later served time in prison. Rivera has said that Vanessa was heartbroken when he was taken away. She visited him twice before her mother forbade her from going to jail again.

At 20, Vanessa was linked to Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio. After that, she was in a serious relationship with Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud of Saudi Arabia. Reports say the unlikely duo dated from 1998 to 2001 and even lived together. They were planning to marry, but after the 9/11 attacks, the prince abruptly returned to Saudi Arabia, ending their relationship.

Now, years after her divorce from Trump Jr., Vanessa seems to have found love again with Tiger Woods.

JIT head of May 9 cases resigns from police

Head of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) probing May 9 cases and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Admin Lahore, Imran Kishwar, has tendered his resignation from the Police Services of Pakistan (PSP) on Thursday.

In his resignation letter circulating online, the grade 19 police officer addressed the Inspector General (IG) to describe that his conscience has been weighed down by the stark realities of service.

Kishwar wrote: “I have upheld my oath with unyielding resolve, often at great personal cost, which has left me grappling with many unanswered questions, creating the unsettling internal dissonance”.

As the former head of the Lahore Organised Crime Unit (OCU), Kishwar held several important positions, including Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigation Lahore and DIG Investigation Lahore, as well as commanding roles in Kasur, Sheikhupura, Narowal, and Muzaffargarh.

“I find myself at a crossroads where my continued service is neither feasible nor desirable. The reasons, though mine alone, are potent enough to sever the bond I once held sacred,” says the resignation.

Hinting at feeling unappreciated and betrayed, he explained, “Loyalty, when met with indifference or betrayal, ceases to be an obligation.”

The outgoing DIG announced his decision to transition from law enforcement services to writing. Kishwar said, “Having devoted the best years of my life to enforcing the law, I now choose to embrace a long-subdued calling-one that wields the power of words over weapons of ink over insignia.”

He emphasised that his passion for writing now demands its due, and he shall surrender to it with the same conviction he once dedicated to this uniform.

Kishwar concluded by saying in his resignation, “With a mind unchanged and a heart unburdened. I close this chapter. Let it be recorded that I served with honour; I shall not serve in silence,” stressing that his resignation must be accepted.

Meanwhile, sources told The Current that Kishwar’s resignation from PSP was yet to be formally processed, given that high-ranking officers cannot resign through social media.

‘It is its own worst enemy’: Mickey Arthur exposes reasons behind Pakistan cricket’s decline

Former Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur has spoken out about the decline of Pakistan cricket, highlighting key issues affecting its progress.

Recently, former Pakistan coach Jason Gillespie sparked controversy by calling Aaqib Javed a “clown” and blaming him for stepping away from his role. Now, Mickey Arthur has supported Gillespie’s claims, adding his perspective on the state of Pakistan cricket.

“Pakistan cricket keeps shooting itself in the foot. It is its own worst enemy,” Arthur stated. He criticised the management, saying that cricket in the country is driven by personal agendas rather than long-term planning. “Jason Gillespie and Gary Kirsten could have taken Pakistan cricket forward, but they were removed,” he added.

Arthur also praised Gillespie, describing him as an exceptional coach and a great human being. “Gillespie is an outstanding coach. Pakistan cricket continues to harm itself. There is a huge pool of talented players in the country, and they now have resources. Young talent is abundant with incredible skills. Yet, the team remains in chaos, which is truly unfortunate,” he remarked.

Further highlighting the internal struggles, he said,  “Pakistan had hired top-quality coaches who could have taken them forward, but then the system that weakens everything in Pakistan cricket came into motion.”

Last year, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed Gillespie and Kirsten as head coaches for the red- and white-ball teams, respectively. However, both resigned after losing their authority in team selection.

Mickey Arthur served as Pakistan’s head coach from 2016 to 2019, during which Pakistan, under his guidance and Sarfaraz Ahmed’s captaincy, won the ICC Champions Trophy.

Model and actress Nadia Hussain has finally spoken out after her husband was arrested in connection with a high-profile financial scam.

On March 12, she shared a video statement on Instagram, revealing chats and an audio recording of a caller who falsely claimed to be an FIA officer.

According to Nadia, the fraudster demanded a bribe of Rs 30 million for her husband’s bail.

She claimed, “An FIA officer had demanded a huge bribe for my husband’s release, who was arrested on charges of financial fraud.”

Screenshots of the conversation showed the fraudster telling her, “Your husband, Atif Muhammad Khan, has settled all matters. You should transfer the money.” The caller also attempted to intimidate her and warned, “This matter should remain between you and me.”

In her video statement, Nadia addressed the situation directly: “Many of you were waiting for my reaction to my husband’s arrest by the FIA in a fraud case. It is true that my husband is currently in FIA custody, but only for investigation. If I talk about the case, were the security guards sleeping that such a big fraud happened under their noses?”

‘White shirt guy’ from viral assault video breaks silence

The victim of a viral assault video has broken his silence after an undated clip showing a confrontation between private security guards and a citizen at Dharmapura Beijing Underpass in Lahore began circulating on social media this week.

The video shows the moment a private security guard from the motorcade of an unidentified person opened fire at a citizen in Lahore.

The man can be seen stepping out of the vehicle to confront one of the armed security guards, who, along with other members of his squad, then flees the scene.

As the video made rounds on social media, netizens demanded that Punjab’s Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif take strict action against the security guard and the team.

DIG Operations Faisal Kamran then took strict notice of the incident, ordering a case to be registered under the Anti-Terrorism Act on the complaint of the police.

According to police reports, the victim has been identified as Imran.

In a video statement, Imran details the incident to the police, explaining that he was coming from Raiwind Road, heading to the market to run errands when security guards stopped him on Canal Road and opened fire, hitting his car. The second shot, he explains, was aimed at him until people intervened, with some starting to record the scene. After that, the guards eventually backed down and fled, leaving behind a car and guns.

According to Imran, there were five men in one car while 10 to 15 were in another one.

The police report details that the Dolphin team responded immediately at the time of the incident. However, the suspects took advantage of the traffic on Canal Road and fled the scene.

Dolphin police recovered three SMG rifles and three loaded magazines from the spot, which were then handed over to SHO Mughalpura and ASI Abdul Sattar.

DIG Operations has formed a special team to arrest the accused and has also ordered action against the security company of the guards involved in the incident.

As of now, four suspects have been arrested.

DIG Operations has stated that action has also been initiated against the owner of the vehicle and that Safe City cameras are being used to arrest the accused immediately.

“No one is above the law for causing a breach of peace,” Faisal Kamran said, adding that strict action will be taken against those involved in the incident.

  • Japanese adult star, who was spotted in Lahore, converts to Islam

Japanese adult star, who was spotted in Lahore, converts to Islam

A former adult film star from Japan, Kae Asakura, has announced that she converted to Islam after visiting Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2024.

Asakura, who is also known online as Rae Lil Black, shared her journey of faith on TikTok and in an interview with Singaporean podcaster Dzar Ismail.

During her trip to Kuala Lumpur last August, Asakura wore a hijab as she wanted to visit mosques and meet Muslim locals. She was deeply moved by the kindness and warmth she received.

She said, “They were so, so nice to me. They welcomed me with open arms. So I was like, ‘Okay, these people are so nice. Why don’t I try to understand their culture?’”

Asakura shared her first experience of fasting during Ramzan with her followers online. She also posted videos of herself breaking her fast with her fans. However, some TikTok users accused her of not actually fasting and of only making content for attention. She firmly denied these claims.

“Well, I am fasting, first of all. I am taking care of my business, and I am putting my pure intention to Allah. So do not worry about me. Please focus on your life,” she said in a video on 7 March.

On the podcast, Asakura was asked about claims that she was still involved in the adult film industry, as some people had pointed out that new videos featuring her were still being released online.

She explained that these videos were recorded a long time ago and that she does not have rights to them.

“Once I’m done [filming], they have the right to publish whenever, so some videos are still not published yet, from years ago,” she said.

Speaking about the support she has received, she said, “I cried a little bit because people are so supportive, and they don’t judge.”

Despite her past, Asakura has received significant support from fellow Muslims. Many people have given her gifts, including dates, books, and a prayer mat from Mecca.

Earlier, Asakura had visited Lahore, Pakistan, where she sparked a major online debate by visiting the historic Badshahi Mosque. Videos and photos of her in a hijab, exploring one of Pakistan’s most iconic religious sites, went viral. Her presence at such a culturally and religiously significant place surprised many, leading to speculation about her possible interest in Islam.

  • Here’s why no Pakistani cricketer was picked in ‘The Hundred’ draft

Here’s why no Pakistani cricketer was picked in ‘The Hundred’ draft

The 2025 draft for England’s The Hundred League took place at Lord’s on Wednesday, with not a single Pakistani player selected by any franchise.

A total of 50 Pakistani cricketers, including five women, had registered for the draft. However, none of them secured a place in any team.

Among the Pakistani women cricketers, Aliya Riaz, Fatima Sana, Yasira Aamir, Iram Javed, and Javeria Rauf were part of the draft but remained unselected. Despite all 45 Pakistani players from the men’s draft, including some well-known names, being available, they went unsold despite foreign player slots being open in several teams.

Fast bowler Naseem Shah had the highest reserve price among Pakistani players at £120,000, while experienced all-rounder Imad Wasim and young batter Saim Ayub had a reserve price of £78,500. Other players, such as Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali, and Mohammad Hasnain, were listed at £63,000, whereas several others, including Mohammad Abbas, Haider Ali, and Imad Butt, entered the draft without a set reserve price.

This season of The Hundred has witnessed major changes, as the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has allowed external investment in the tournament. As a result, all eight franchises have secured investors, with four of them being owners of Indian Premier League (IPL) teams.

It is a well-known fact that since 2008, Pakistani players have not been allowed to participate in the IPL. However, reports indicate that IPL influence is not the reason why Pakistani players were snubbed in The Hundred. Instead, the uncertainty regarding their full availability for the tournament played a major role in their exclusion.

The Hundred 2025 is scheduled to run from August 5 to August 31. During this period, Pakistan is set to play three ODIs and T20Is against the West Indies from July 31 to August 12. Additionally, there is a possibility of a white-ball series against Bangladesh in July and August, which could further impact the availability of Pakistani players for The Hundred.

Last month, the ECB’s Chief Executive, Richard Gould, assured that Pakistani players would not face any restrictions in The Hundred due to IPL influence. He stated that while Pakistani players do face challenges in franchise leagues, their exclusion from The Hundred is not politically motivated.
