Sami Khan reveals shocking fight between two actresses on set

Actor Sami Khan has revealed shocking details of a fight between two famous actresses during the shooting of a drama set in Kashmir.

The incident, which involved two lead actresses, became so intense that one actress even threw a shoe at the other.

Appearing as a guest on After Hours with Ushna Shah, the Wrong No 2 actor opened up about the incident.

“I was sitting and talking on the phone when suddenly one actress came and sat right in front of me. Her behavior was a bit unusual, but I stayed calm and continued with my phone conversation,” Sami Khan explained.

The Aik Chubhan Si actor continued: “I went to the makeup room while talking on the phone. Suddenly, the door opened, and another actress came in. A heated argument broke out between them, and in the middle of it, one actress threw a shoe at the other. I was talking to someone very important at the time, so I quickly stepped out, ended the call, and returned to find out what had happened.”

Sami Khan further clarified, “I was told the fight escalated when one of the actresses slapped the other. Although both actresses were playing lead roles and were almost the same age, violence is never justified, no matter the situation.”

He emphasized that physical violence is never okay, no matter the situation.

“One of the actresses was the main lead, while the other was in a supporting role. But regardless of the roles, violence is never acceptable. I was supposed to witness a scene where the two were to embrace, but instead, a slap occurred. The justification for the slap didn’t make sense. If something went wrong, it should have been addressed with the director or producer, not through physical violence,” Sami Khan added.

Despite the chaos, Sami praised the professionalism of the actress who was mistreated. “After the incident, the actress who was treated wrong continued working without letting it affect her performance. She completed her last shot for the day, showing incredible professionalism,” he said.

Fans have speculated that the drama in question may have involved well-known actresses Alizeh Shah and Minsa Malik. However, the names of the actresses and the drama have not been officially confirmed by Sami Khan or the production team.

Earlier, actor Sami Khan appeared as guest on Mazaq Raat hosted by Imran Ashraf, where he talked about his craziest fan moment.

The cohost, Ayesha Shakoor, asked, “I’m sure you receive lines from fans because of how handsome you are. What was the craziest fan encounter you’ve ever had in your life?”

“It was a very crazy experience in Lahore. Everyone remembers that day in 2012 or 2013,” Khan remembered, recalling that it rained heavily, “so much that people said it looked like it was snowing.”

  • Bashar al-Assad’s wife files for divorce in Russia

Bashar al-Assad’s wife files for divorce in Russia

Runaway Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s British wife, Asma al-Assad, has reportedly filed for divorce in a Russian court and is seeking permission to return to London for urgent medical treatment, according to a report by Turkish media.

Turkey’s leading newspaper, Haber Turk, reported that Asma, currently residing in Russia, has been diagnosed with leukaemia- a type of cancer caused by the rapid transmission of white blood cells and needs immediate medical care.

She has submitted two petitions in a Russian court, one asking for divorce, while the other seeks permission to leave Russia, where the Assad family is currently in asylum, following the toppling of the government.

Turkish news media quoted sources close to the couple that Asma al-Assad, who formerly worked as an investment banker in London before her marriage to the ousted Syrian leader, is planning to return to the UK for proper medical treatment.

Asma’s mother, Sahar al-Akhras, an ex-Syrian diplomat with British nationality, is said to have been contacting leading London-based law firms to facilitate her daughter’s safe return to the UK.

The news came just weeks after the Assad family fled Damascus and sought asylum as opposition forces of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) took control of the Syrian capital on December 8, marking the end of his family’s five-decade-long iron-fisted rule.

Asma is going to argue the case on the grounds of not receiving adequate medical attention in Moscow.

Foreign experts predict that the potential divorce will add another layer of complexity to the challenges facing Bashar al-Assad, posing potential repercussions for the future of the Assad family’s political influence in the Middle East region.

Notably, the couple had been married for 24 years. Asma was labelled ‘Rose of the Desert’ by Western media.

The two met during Bashar al-Assad’s residency in the UK and tied the knot in 2000, shortly after he succeeded his father as the president of Syria.

  • ‘Use less internet’;  Parliamentary Secretary has unique solution for slowdowns

‘Use less internet’;  Parliamentary Secretary has unique solution for slowdowns

Syed Sajid Mehdi, the Parliamentary Secretary for the Cabinet Division, has on Sunday urged people to use the internet “less” and for “important matters only”.

His unique suggestion was a solution to recurrent internet shutdowns and slow speed in Pakistan.

The parliamentary secretary appeared on Dawn News’ Doosra Rukh, where he candidly likened the internet in Pakistan to a road that got congested as more people used it, resulting in slow traffic.

“There are large loads on our internet, [just] like on a congested road,” he said while adding, “Cars move slower if there is congestion. If 10 people use a road meant for five, it will slow everything down.”

Sajjad Mehdi also claimed that Pakistan’s fibre network only has a capacity of 15 percent compared to India’s 45 percent, stating that this is another reason for the slow internet.

Moreover, the parliamentary secretary emphasised that work was underway to resolve the issue of the internet’s slow speed across the country and it will be completed “very quickly”.

The host, Nadir Guramani, asked the secretary if he thinks that the rise in population was also the reason behind internet slowdowns.

“Like I said, if more people use the roads then of course it will slow down,” Mehdi stressed, adding that this issue would be fixed within three to four months.

Furthermore, Mehdi said that curbing what he called the “unnecessary” use of the internet would improve its speed.

“I’m not saying stop using it, but use it only for important purposes like work, and not for unnecessary purposes,” he commented.

The show host went on to ask him if he thinks that people in Pakistan were using the internet unnecessarily to which he replied that people should use the internet mostly for important work.

“It will be beneficial if people don’t use the internet too much or for negative thinking”, he said.
The parliamentary secretary also disapproved the claim that internet slowdowns were causing financial losses to the IT sector of the country.

Notably, Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@sha) Chairman Sajjad Mustafa Syed on December 3 said, “A one-hour internet slowdown might not have any significant impact on people, but disturbed services to a client in any stock market, airport service, bank, etc., in advanced countries would eventually lead to loss of confidence in Pakistan’s IT sector.”

The parliamentary secretary also denied having been informed about the loss by Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), “We have not been told officially that the shutdown has caused financial losses. Nobody has filed any requests or complaints about financial losses.

“If anyone has suffered personal losses, then that is a different matter entirely,” he concluded.

So, my childhood was full of ‘getting through it,’ and that became a huge part of my personality. Even now, no matter what happens, I’m like, it’ll be okay,” the Mere Humsafar actress said.

Hania Aamir’s recent performance as Sharjeena in the hit drama serial Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum was also widely loved by fans.
