  • Black magic, demons abound in Pakistani horror film ‘Deemak’ trailer

Black magic, demons abound in Pakistani horror film ‘Deemak’ trailer

Pakistani cinema is finally diving deep into horror again—and this time, it’s seriously committed to scaring you.

Deemak (Termite) isn’t just another scary movie. It’s a psychological supernatural thriller that looks and feels intense and genuinely creepy.

Directed by Rafay Rashdi (yes, the one behind Badshah Begum and The Java Plum Tree) and written by Ayesha Muzaffar (author of Abus Jinns and Jinnistan), Deemak explores a toxic mother-in-law vs. daughter-in-law relationship, with a scary twist: their home is slowly being taken over by something… not from this world.

This project is being produced under Wah Wah Productions, with Syed Murad Ali as the executive producer. He’s a horror fan himself and has finally turned his passion into a full-fledged cinematic experience.

The cast? Iconic. We’re talking Faysal Quraishi, Sonya Hussyn, Samina Peerzada, Javed Sheikh, and Bushra Ansari—legends who know how to deliver performances that hit hard.

The trailer honestly gave me goosebumps. That one scene where something crawls near the bedroom ceiling and she suddenly lifts the bed? Chilling. And instead of water, the kitchen tap is dripping blood. Like, what?! I haven’t been this excited for a Pakistani movie in ages.

The story revolves around a normal house becoming a living nightmare as paranormal events grow stronger. It’s not just jump scares—there’s emotional depth too. The son is caught in a disturbing tug-of-war between his wife and his mother, with the horror of demons creeping into every corner of their lives.

What’s really cool is that this film is rooted in local folklore, especially our own stories about Jinns. The team has tried to blend that with psychological horror in a very Pakistani way.

The director shared that Deemak was originally an idea called Yaqeen—something he dreamt of almost six years ago. With Ayesha Muzaffar onboard, it turned into a layered horror drama that’s as much about emotional trauma as it is about the supernatural.

Horror movies in Pakistan have been rare but interesting. We had Zinda Laash back in 1967 (our version of Dracula!), and later came Zibahkhana in 2007, which made waves internationally. More recently, In Flames even made it to Cannes! And now, Deemak might just be our next big horror milestone.

Its releasing this Eid ul Adha (June 6), and fans are already hyped. People are absolutely loving the trailer. Just check out these comments:

“Wow, let’s go! Is cheez ka hi to wait tha. Amazing trailer. I am waiting!”

  • Kaifi Khalil, Tulsi Kumar’s love song ‘Fitrat’ is going to be your new favourite

Kaifi Khalil, Tulsi Kumar’s love song ‘Fitrat’ is going to be your new favourite

‘Fitrat’ is not just a song, it’s an emotional journey that touches the soul. Sung by the talented Kaifi Khalil and Tulsi Kumar, this heartfelt track is filled with raw emotions, deep lyrics, and the kind of sadness that stays with you long after the music ends. It speaks to anyone who has ever loved deeply, lost painfully, and still remembers beautifully.

The video stars Sehar Khan, and she looks stunning in every scene. Her dressing in the video is simple yet elegant and she carries it with grace.

One scene that truly stood out to me was when Sehar puts kajal in her eyes. It perfectly matches the emotional line: “Tum mere naam ka kajal bahar do.” That moment gave me goosebumps, a silent but powerful way of showing heartbreak.

Another line that touched my heart was when Kaifi Khalil sings, “Sada hoon, brands pasand nahi, mere pe paisa zaya mat karna.” It’s honest, raw, and beautifully real just like the entire song.

Fitrat is more than a collaboration it’s a powerful message. It reminds us that if you truly love someone, don’t hide it. And don’t stay in a relationship just to please others. Because in the end, you’re not only hurting yourself, but also the one you’re with and the one you truly love.

The release of Fitrat has received love across borders, with many calling it the best musical bond between India and Pakistan in ages. One user wrote, “Sehar, you’re looking absolutely stunning! All the best for this beautiful venture.”

The haunting melody, touching lyrics, and emotional visuals come together to create something unforgettable.

With this track, Kaifi Khalil, Tulsi Kumar, and Sehar Khan have proven that music can truly speak to the heart no matter where you are.

  • People can’t stop trolling Adnan Siddiqui for noticing THIS thing about women

People can’t stop trolling Adnan Siddiqui for noticing THIS thing about women

Senior actor Adnan Siddiqui is making headlines for all the wrong reasons after his recent appearance on the show Hansana Maanin Hai, where he made some questionable comments about women. Social media users have been quick to criticise him, questioning not only his remarks but also his understanding of appropriate behaviour.

During the show, host Tabish Hashmi asked Adnan what he notices first when meeting a woman. After a brief pause, Adnan responded, “When I meet a girl for the first time, I notice her feet.” This statement immediately caught attention, leaving many viewers uncomfortable with the comment.

Tabish, playing along, agreed, saying he too notices a woman’s feet when meeting her. He humorously added that he checks her feet to ensure, “the place where I have to lie for the rest of my life should be clean.” While this comment was made in jest, it didn’t sit well with many viewers who found the conversation inappropriate.

Adnan went on to explain his reasoning, stating, “I feel that people who keep their hands and feet clean have a good personality; they like cleanliness.” This was followed by a remark from the host, who said such people also tend to keep their hearts and homes clean. Adnan added, “They should keep their hearts clean; they should clean their houses themselves.”

However, things took a more uncomfortable turn when the host pressed further, asking if a woman who has clean feet but short hair would be acceptable. Adnan’s response was blunt: “The girl should just be alive; she should be alive.”

The comments sparked an outpouring of criticism on social media, with many questioning the actor’s attitude towards women.

One user remarked, “Adnan Siddiqui is a father of a daughter. He should think before saying such things.” Others criticised the actor’s choice of words, with one user stating, “Uncle, you’re getting older—please stop asking such questions.”

Many pointed out that such remarks reflected poorly on his character. “It’s not about hands and feet,” one commenter said. “It’s about what defines a person’s character.”

While some took issue with the comments, others directed their anger at the show itself, accusing it of encouraging inappropriate behaviour.

As the backlash continues, it remains to be seen how Adnan Siddiqui will respond to the criticism.

  • Superman gets smashed — and dragged home by his dog in wild new sneak peek

Superman gets smashed — and dragged home by his dog in wild new sneak peek

DC Studios just dropped a jaw-dropping new look at James Gunn’s Superman, and let’s just say—this is not your usual Man of Steel. Shared during Warner Bros.’ presentation at CinemaCon and now released online, the sneak peek has fans buzzing for all the right (and unexpected) reasons.

The extended footage features David Corenswet as a very badly injured Superman, unable to walk or fly, pleading with his loyal dog Krypto to drag him home. Yes, you read that right—Krypto is literally pulling a flopping, broken Superman through the snow. It’s part hilarious, part brutal, and fully James Gunn.

Though the scene starts off morbidly funny, it quickly shifts into classic superhero weirdness in the best way possible. Krypto drags Clark to the Fortress of Solitude, which looks more magical and inventive than ever. Inside, a group of medical robots in superhero capes leap into action, including one wild moment where they focus concentrated sunlight to heal him.

Fans got a clear listen to Robot 4—voiced by none other than Alan Tudyk. A longtime James Gunn collaborator and expert in bringing robots to life, Tudyk’s voicework is already earning praise online. Meanwhile, speculation is swirling about the voice behind Robot 12, with fans throwing out their best guesses.

The trailer also gives longer glimpses of other key characters: Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, and Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner.

What makes this sneak peek stand out is Gunn’s signature blend of heart, humor, and chaos—something that’s clearly setting this Superman apart from previous versions. And fans are here for it.

Superman, the first official film in DC’s rebooted universe, soars into theaters on July 11. With Peter Safran and James Gunn producing—and Gunn writing and directing—it’s shaping up to be a bold, emotional, and surprisingly fun reintroduction to the world’s most iconic hero.

  • You’ll never guess where Mahira’s Eid sari is from

You’ll never guess where Mahira’s Eid sari is from

Fashion stylist and image consultant Tabesh Khoja, known for shaping the modern face of Pakistani fashion, recently shared glimpses from a star-studded Eid lunch on his Instagram. Among the many familiar faces was superstar Mahira Khan, who stole the spotlight in a soft pistachio green sari.

Khoja posted a series of pictures and videos from the gathering with the caption: “Beautiful Eid dump ✨ in my white most favourite kurta ajar Eid lunch.”

One of the standout moments came from a short video in which Mahira looked effortlessly stunning, dressed in her sari, holding a fabric pouch-style bag, and wearing a classic necklace. Khoja can be seen admiring her outfit in the clip.

“Mahira, what a beautiful sari! Wow, so stunning! The bag… is this your bag?” Khoja asked.

Mahira smiled and replied, “This is from my  Bunto Kazmi’s  Khala.”

Khoja then noticed her necklace and asked where it was from. Mahira responded warmly, “My grandmother gave this to me.”

But it was her response about the sari that truly surprised fans. When asked about it, Mahira revealed, “I bought it very cheap from Sri Lanka.”

    “Sri Lanka?” Khoja asked.

“Yes, I got this bag from Sri Lanka too,” she replied with a laugh.

The video ended with both of them exchanging greetings, saying, “Eid Mubarak!”

Tabesh Khoja’s post not only gave fans a glimpse into the fashionable side of Eid celebrations but also reminded everyone that elegance doesn’t always come with a heavy price tag — sometimes, the simplest looks make the biggest statements.

  • Love the actor, hate the character? Nameer Khan’s rise sparks tough conversation

Love the actor, hate the character? Nameer Khan’s rise sparks tough conversation

Model-turned-actor Nameer Khan recently engaged in a conversation with Maliha Rehman on Gloss ETC’s One-on-One, which began as a lighthearted discussion but quickly gained viral attention. When Maliha asked him about the increasing number of his female fans, Nameer chuckled, “A lot, a lot. I enjoy it. Even the demographics of my Instagram have shifted.” He mentioned that while his audience was 80% male during his fashion career, it has transformed to 80 percent female since he transitioned to television. “What else can I expect from the 80 percent,” he humorously asked when questioned about receiving love letters or direct messages.

However, it wasn’t just his playful demeanor that drew attention. The timing of the interview coincided with both the success and controversy surrounding his character in Qarz-e-Jaan, in which he portrays a deeply flawed man shaped by patriarchy, estranged from his father, and guilty of horrific actions, including sexual assault.

The contrast between Nameer’s character on-screen and his true self off-screen is intriguing for viewers. While his role represents toxic masculinity domineering, aggressive, and disturbingly possessiveness, Nameer himself appears soft-spoken, articulate, and self-aware in reality.

Fans have taken note of this disparity.

One Reddit user commented, “He is an exceptional performer certainly destined to be a versatile actor. Good-looking, humble, and well-articulated, I enjoyed his recent interview.” Others remarked that he is “well-spoken, unlike his character,” and began to advocate for him to take on leading roles.

Nonetheless, the admiration has also prompted a more serious discussion: are we, once again, idealizing a problematic male character simply because he is portrayed by an attractive actor?

Qarz-e-Jaan does not try to soften its message- it exposes the hypocrisy of a society that allows men to exploit women outside their homes while fiercely guarding their “own.” Yet, when fans become enamored with Nameer’s appearance and charm, some fear that the character’s brutality may be overlooked amidst the admiration.

Nameer Khan may have just made his mark on television, but he’s already triggering the kind of discussions most actors spend years chasing. And whether audiences are tuning in for his talent or his face, they’re definitely watching.

  • Minahil Malik breaks silence after second round of alleged leaks

Minahil Malik breaks silence after second round of alleged leaks

TikToker Minahil Malik is once again at the center of a social media storm following the leak of another alleged video. The video, which surfaced shortly after her return from Umrah, has gone viral, leading to a new wave of criticism and support.

In the video, Minahil Malik is seen wearing a short dress while filming herself. A few moments later, she can allegedly be seen sitting on the floor in a compromising state.

In response to the leaked content, which many are labeling as fake, Minahil has defended herself, claiming that the videos were artificially created using AI technology. She stated, “I have filed a complaint with the FIA and hope that the culprits will be behind bars soon.”

In an emotional message shared on social media, Minahil addressed her critics, saying, “Those who are doing me wrong, do it with passion. Now that I have become Minahil, it doesn’t matter if anyone hates me.” She emphasized, “I have forgiven everyone by going to Allah’s house.”

Minahil also sarcastically remarked, “If I were characterless, why would Allah invite me to His house? My case is now in the hands of Allah, so please don’t try to be my father.” She further clarified that only her family had stood by her during difficult times.

This isn’t the first time Minahil Malik has faced a video scandal; a similar incident occurred last year when alleged private videos leaked. However, this time, her demeanor seems notably more confident and carefree than before, as she navigates the controversy.

The incident has reignited discussions about privacy protection and online harassment, particularly concerning social media platforms and the younger generation. While some fans are rallying behind Minahil, others are accusing her of using the situation to gain attention and fame.

As the debate continues, it’s clear that this controversy has touched a nerve, highlighting the challenges of digital privacy and the effects of online criticism.
