Hania Aamir stuns in Indian designer sharara at friend’s wedding

Pakistani actress Hania Aamir has just given everyone major bridesmaid goals as she attended her friend’s wedding in a dreamy traditional look that’s winning hearts across borders.

Hania wore a stunning ivory and gold sharara set by Indian designer Ridhi Bansal, styled by celebrity fashion expert Mohit Rai. The outfit was from the luxury label ITRH, known for blending traditional and modern Indian fashion — and let’s just say, Hania absolutely nailed the look.

She shared a photo on Instagram with the caption: “I’ll always get you coffee & cheesecake.”

Meanwhile, Itrh @ithrofficial also posted a video of Hania on Instagram, writing, “Draped in elegance and gilded in tradition — @haniaheheofficial mesmerizes in our exquisite ensemble, adorned with a radiant mirror jaal veil.”

Her outfit featured a short, straight-cut silk kurta with a sweetheart neckline and three-quarter sleeves, paired beautifully with a voluminous sharara. The hemline was adorned with a wide golden border that added glamour to her entire look. But the real showstopper? Her heavy jaal-work dupatta, covered in mirror detailing and gilded thread work, which she draped elegantly across her chest.

Fans quickly noticed that Hania’s mirror veil look reminded them of Kareena Kapoor’s recent ethnic outfit, with many calling it a cross-border style moment! Two fashion icons, one bold accessory trend — and we’re here for it.

To complete her look, the 28-year-old actress wore gold chandelier-style kundan earrings and a pair of Miu Miu gold-rimmed sunglasses, adding just the right amount of sparkle.

Her hair was styled in soft, voluminous waves, while her makeup featured a glowing base, foiled gold eyeshadow, winged liner, rosy blush, champagne highlighter, and a peach-pink lipstick — giving her the ultimate fresh and radiant wedding vibe.

Whether it’s fashion, grace, or style, Hania Aamir proved she’s always wedding-ready — and this time, with a beautiful nod to Indian design.

Fashion knows no borders — and Hania just made that loud and clear!

Maggots were eating him alive — one person saved him: Celebs praise viral act of humanity

A deeply emotional rescue video shared by The Crazy Cats @thecrazycatsproject is making waves online — not just for the powerful story it tells but also for the way it moved people, including celebrities like Nadia Afgan and Zhalay Sarhadi.

The video shows the journey of a drug addict who was found in terrible condition outside Data Darbar in Lahore. His head was covered in flies and maggots, and part of his skull was visible. “Nobody would ever want to witness what I saw,” wrote the person who rescued him.

Despite sitting near a police checkpoint, no one came forward to help him. He had been badly beaten, had multiple fractures, and was mentally unwell.

But The Crazy Cats didn’t look away.

It took six hours to clean the maggots from his head. Then came days of medical treatment, months of healing, and continuous care. After five months, the man has recovered physically, although he still struggles mentally. He has no official ID, and nothing has been found about his identity.

    Celebrities also took notice.

Actress Nadia Afgan commented under the post: “Allah tumko iss ka ajar day.” (May God reward you for this.)

Actress and model Zhalay Sarhadi also shared her love and support, “May Allah grant you with much happiness and success. We’ll partner for the kindness and humanity you showed.”

  • ‘Our dramas are poetic, not Bollywood copies’; Fatima Bhutto urges Pakistan to embrace its strengths

‘Our dramas are poetic, not Bollywood copies’; Fatima Bhutto urges Pakistan to embrace its strengths

Renowned author and public figure Fatima Bhutto recently shared her thoughts on Pakistani television dramas and their place in global entertainment. In a new interview, she praised the unique identity of Pakistani content and urged creators to build on their strengths rather than trying to imitate others.

“What Pakistan understood very clearly and very early was that we cannot do Bollywood the way Bollywood does it. That’s already happening elsewhere. Our direction was always different,” she said.

Fatima highlighted that Pakistani dramas are known for being subtle and refined. “The language we use in our dramas is poetic,” she added. “That’s our real strength — and we need to support that more.”

She believes that right now is a great time for television worldwide, especially with the rise of streaming platforms. “TV shows are easier to watch on phones and shorter formats work better for global audiences,” she said. “This is our time.”

But she also pointed out the need for change. “We need more stories, and more freedom to tell them. We should ask difficult questions and talk about the issues we face as a society — and also, how we want to be seen by the world.”

Her comments sparked mixed reactions online. Some fans strongly agreed, saying Pakistan should focus on its rich language and culture instead of copying Bollywood.

One fan wrote, “Absolutely agree! We should work on our strengths rather than go for half-baked stuff.”

Another added, “Pakistani culture is high culture. Even Bollywood doesn’t use Hindi properly — they rely on Urdu. Let’s not copy them.”

Others reflected on how today’s dramas differ from the classics. “She’s complimenting the golden age of PTV in the 80s,” a viewer commented. “Today, most dramas feel like chaos. Some are good — but mostly, it’s chaos.”

Some viewers pointed to recent successes as proof that Pakistani stories can shine on the big screen too — mentioning films like Joyland and Queen of My Dreams which have tackled social and political issues in bold new ways.

At a time where global audiences are more open to diverse content, Fatima Bhutto’s message is clear: stay original, be bold, and tell stories that matter.

  • Lahore High Court steps in after ‘Chaiwala’ Arshad Khan’s passport and ID blocked

Lahore High Court steps in after ‘Chaiwala’ Arshad Khan’s passport and ID blocked

Justice Jawad Hassan of the Lahore High Court has asked the federal government and other officials to respond after Arshad Khan — the popular social media personality known as the ‘chaiwala’ — challenged the blocking of his passport and national ID card (CNIC).

Arshad Khan, who is from Mardan, became famous in 2016 when a photo of him serving tea in Islamabad went viral on Instagram. Since then, he has gained international fame.

His lawyer, Barrister Umer Ijaz Gilani, told the court that the blocking of Arshad’s documents by NADRA and the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports is illegal and goes against the Constitution.

The lawyer said Arshad Khan is a symbol of hope for ordinary Pakistanis — someone who achieved global success through hard work. He argued that the move has hurt Arshad’s reputation and put his future at risk.

He also claimed that NADRA’s demand for proof of residence before 1978 was unfair, especially since Arshad’s family already has a record of Pakistani citizenship. The lawyer referred to articles of the Constitution that protect a person’s right to earn, live with dignity, and be treated fairly.

The court was also told that other high courts have ruled that blocking someone’s CNIC or passport without due process is illegal. However, the government’s lawyers argued that Arshad hadn’t provided enough proof to confirm his Pakistani nationality.

Justice Hassan has now asked NADRA and immigration officials to respond in detail by April 17. He also ordered that no action be taken against Arshad until the matter is resolved.

In a related case, Justice Hassan also stopped authorities from taking action against another petitioner who was born in Pakistan to Afghan refugee parents. The petitioner is seeking citizenship by birth, as allowed under Pakistani law.

The judge said NADRA must hear the case and provide a clear decision within one month, while no government agency should pressure the petitioner until then.

  • FIA summons Nadia Hussain in multi-million rupee fraud case after husband’s arrest

FIA summons Nadia Hussain in multi-million rupee fraud case after husband’s arrest

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has summoned model and actor Nadia Hussain in connection with a multi-million rupee fraud case. Her husband, Atif Mohammad Khan, was arrested last month and is currently under investigation.

According to FIA officials, a notice has been issued to Nadia Hussain by the agency’s corporate crime circle. She has been asked to appear before the investigating officer on 14 April.

The agency has also instructed her to bring documents related to the case. Investigators revealed that her husband had transferred millions of rupees into her bank account, which is why she is now part of the inquiry.

Sources close to the FIA, according to Geo News, stated that the money was also routed through Nadia Hussain’s business accounts. Her statement is scheduled to be recorded next week.

Earlier, Nadia had accused someone of impersonating an FIA officer and demanding a Rs30 million bribe for her husband’s release. She shared the incident on Instagram. The FIA then launched a separate probe under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).

However, Nadia later apologised for her post, saying she had no intention of disrespecting any FIA official.

  • Saif, Siddharth lead Race 4 but where is Salman?

Saif, Siddharth lead Race 4 but where is Salman?

The producers of the Race franchise have confirmed that Saif Ali Khan and Sidharth Malhotra are currently the only actors being considered for the upcoming Race 4. This clarification comes amid speculation about the film’s casting.

In an official statement on Saturday, Ramesh Taurani of Tips Films explained that the fourth film in the popular action-thriller series is still in the scripting stage. He further confirmed that no other actors, male or female, have been approached yet for the film.

“We are currently in discussions only with Saif Ali Khan and Sidharth Malhotra for the next installment of the Race franchise (Race 4),” the statement read. Taurani also urged the media and social platforms to refrain from spreading false rumours and to wait for official updates from the PR team.

This announcement comes as excitement around the Race franchise grows, following the success of the previous films. The original Race, released in 2008, and its 2013 sequel Race 2 both featured Saif Ali Khan and were praised for their thrilling plots and stylish production. However, Race 3, led by Salman Khan, received mixed reviews despite strong anticipation.

If confirmed, Race 4 would mark Saif Ali Khan’s return to the franchise after more than a decade. Sidharth Malhotra’s potential casting could also bring a new dynamic to the series, introducing a generational shift.

The Race films are known for their action-packed plots, betrayal-driven stories, and glamorous visuals. Although the director for Race 4 has not been revealed yet, fans are hoping for a return to the franchise’s original style.

Taurani’s statement also puts to rest speculation about Salman Khan’s return to the franchise, emphasising that only Saif Ali Khan and Sidharth Malhotra are in talks for the film. No release date has been set, and the project is still in the early stages of development.

  • New mom Dania Shah calls out husband over ‘fake gift’ drama

New mom Dania Shah calls out husband over ‘fake gift’ drama

Pakistani social media star Dania Shah and her husband Hakeem Shehzad have welcomed their first child into the world—a baby boy named Dayan.

The couple shared the happy news with fans in a celebration vlog, showing emotional moments and the many gifts they received. But what started as a joyful vlog soon turned into online drama.

In the same video, Dania criticized her husband, saying he used the event as a publicity stunt, claiming that Shehzad pretended to gift their son a car, even handing over a key on camera—only to take it back later.

“The moment was supposed to be about my son, not a marketing gimmick,” Dania said, clearly upset.

She also said Shehzad focused more on promoting the weddings of his other children during the ceremony and didn’t even mention baby Dayan’s name the whole time.

Dania, who gifted her baby a gold chain, appeared frustration about the lack of sincerity from her husband.

The couple got married in July 2024 and often post life updates online, especially through Dania’s vlogs.

In the video, she also showed gifts from Shehzad’s first wife, adding that the event felt awkward and messy, especially when it should have been all about welcoming their baby boy.

This is Dania’s second marriage. She was earlier married to the late televangelist Aamir Liaquat Hussain in 2022. Their marriage drew massive attention due to their 30-year age gap and a messy divorce, which was followed by controversies involving leaked videos.

After Aamir’s sudden death, Dania faced criticism from fams but eventually moved on and married Shehzad, a public figure known from Loha Paar.

While many fans congratulated Dania on the birth of baby Dayan, others criticized her for turning a personal moment into online drama. But some people supported her for calling out staged social media content, saying it takes guts to speak up.

Whether people agree or not, Dania Shah has made it clear: she’s standing up for her son and prioritising real life over fake content.

  • Singer Salman Ahmad booked for hate campaign against state institutions

Singer Salman Ahmad booked for hate campaign against state institutions

Musician and former PTI member Salman Ahmad has been booked by Lahore police under the Cybercrime Law (PECA 2016) for allegedly posting “hateful” content on social media against national institutions and important personalities.

A case was filed on April 4 at Lahore’s Defence A Police Station following a complaint from Sub-Inspector Ikram Hussain. The FIR includes several serious charges, such as hate speech, insulting others online, defaming others, and provoking people to create trouble or spread hate.

According to the FIR, “false and hurtful” content is being spread online against state institutions by some individuals whose posts are based on fake news and baseless allegations aimed at confusing the public and eroding trust in national figures.

The police claim to have identified a post on X (formerly Twitter) from Salman Ahmad’s account, which has over 265,000 followers. The FIR states that this post was “hateful and intended to provoke people” against national institutions.

Salman Ahmad, who is currently living abroad, was removed from PTI in December 2024 after he criticised Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, online during the November 26 protests. His post received a great deal of backlash from PTI supporters.

PECA 2016 has often been referred to as a “black law” by human rights groups, journalists, and political workers, who believe it is being used to silence dissent and target those who speak out.

In fact, the law was recently amended in January this year, which prompted a walkout by PTI lawmakers and journalists during the National Assembly session.

Earlier in 2025, another case under PECA was reported when the admin of a WhatsApp group in Pakpattan was arrested for allowing a post that allegedly insulted Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
