‘You said we can go to a homeless shelter’: Imad Wasim called out by ex-wife after ‘Baba loves you’ post

Former Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim and his ex-wife Sannia Ashfaq are once again publicly feuding on social media following their recent separation after six years of marriage.

The couple, who married in 2019, have three children together.

The latest controversy emerged on the occasion of their daughter Anaya’s fifth birthday. Imad Wasim shared a post wishing his daughter a happy birthday, writing, “Happy Birthday to my daughter, Baba loves you so much.”

In response, Sania Ashfaq used her Instagram to share a message expressing her concern over the gap between public posts and private actions.

“Happy 5th Birthday to my beautiful girl. You deserve a childhood filled with love, safety and stability. It is difficult seeing public messages of ‘Baba love you so much’ while, privately, agencies are being told that your mother and children can go to a homeless shelter because financial support will no longer be provided,” she wrote.

She added, “Children deserve more than words posted online. They deserve security, honesty and protection in real life. No matter what happens, Mummy will always protect you and make sure you feel safe and loved every single day.”

Reports indicate that Sania Ashfaq is currently raising the three children alone and has alleged that the all-rounder neglected to fulfill his financial responsibilities.

She had also accused Imad of forcing her to undergo an abortion in 2023.

The couple announced their separation last year. Following their divorce, Imad Wasim married Nyla Raja.

Actress Yashma Gill has opened up about the struggles she faced with her family’s opposition when she decided to pursue a career in acting.

Speaking on a talk show, she revealed that her father did not speak to her for an entire year, while her mother remained supportive.

Recalling a small but meaningful moment during Ramzan, Yashma said, “One day I greeted my father with ‘Salam,’ gently reminding him that responding is obligatory in Islam. He replied, ‘Walaikum Assalam.’ That was the first crack in the emotional wall between us.”

The turning point came during her first Umrah trip. Yashma invited her father to accompany her, and what he witnessed during the journey helped change his perspective about her career in the entertainment industry.

“Fans recognised me at the hotel and sent Sehri and Iftari meals. I received overwhelming respect,” Yashma said.

“A particularly emotional moment came when a fan gifted me a piece of the Ghilaf-e-Kaaba, and seeing this admiration in such a sacred place deeply moved my father. He later told me that if you are receiving such respect in the House of Allah, you must be doing something good,” she added.

In a video shared on social media, Saheefa spoke about the problems she faces while recruiting employees. She questioned the attitude of people applying for work and said many of them do not stay for long.

“Who are these people who come only to work for one or two hours? I honestly do not understand what is happening in this country. My five old staff members have stayed, but the new ones who keep coming, I do not even know what kind of fancy place they are looking for,” she said.

She added that she wanted honest and committed workers and then made a statement that sparked widespread backlash.

“I need honest people. This time, I want Pathan boys because I believe they are true to their word. I do not trust Punjabi and Urdu-speaking people anymore,” she said.

Saheefa did not explain what led her to make this claim.

She also shared specific requirements for her cafe staff and said she needed people who were serious about work. “I need good staff and genuinely nice people. I need helpers in the kitchen who can do cutting and dicing properly,” she said.

She further urged people not to approach her business for online attention.

“Please, only serious and decent people should come. Many are coming just to go viral after watching these videos. They think they will appear in videos and that is it,” she added.

Khaqan Shahnawaz apologises to Ali Abdullah, deletes video mocking his speech

Pakistani actor and influencer Khaqan Shahnawaz has issued a public apology to comedian Ali Abdullah after learning that he has a speech impediment.

The apology followed a controversy sparked by a video Khaqan posted in which he criticised remarks made by Abdullah during a Ramzan transmission, and mocked his speech.

After discovering that Abdullah has a medical condition affecting his speech, Khaqan removed the video and addressed the issue on Instagram.

“I did not know Ali Abdullah suffered from a speech impediment. I have taken down my video and apologise for any offence caused,” Khaqan wrote on his Instagram account. He added that his views on the original criticism had not changed.

“I still maintain however, that it is not okay for him to make fun of someone’s financial situation or say that they are on their period on national TV,” he said.

The controversy began when Ali Abdullah shared a clip of content creator Jawad Ahmed eating taftan during sehri.

While commenting on the clip, Abdullah said, “He is eating paratha, may Allah forgive, it looks like leftover roti from last night, reheated in water. His mother gave it to him. It is neither good for his health nor will it help his algorithm.”

The clip went viral, prompting Khaqan to defend Jawad and accuse Abdullah of punching down and mocking the creator on national television. He questioned how Abdullah would feel if someone mocked his voice or personal traits in public.

The controversy also drew criticism from the entertainment industry. Actress Sabeena Farooq criticised Khaqan, saying, “I don’t understand why people launch personal attacks while critiquing. His voice and way of speaking are given by Allah; this is completely in Allah’s hands. Nothing personal against Khaqan, but he is wrong here on so many levels.”

Khaqan entered the entertainment industry in 2023 and rose to fame with the popular drama Yunhi. He later appeared in Sukoon and My Dear Cinderella.

In his personal life, Khaqan married Pakistani actress Sabeena Syed. The couple confirmed their nikkah in January 2026, after announcing their engagement in late 2025.

Women can also fall in love with more than one person at the same time: Ali Ansari

Ali Ansari recently shared his views on love, relationships and social taboos during a YouTube interview, sparking mixed reactions on social media.

When asked whether a man can love two women at the same time, the actor said the discussion should not be limited to men alone.

“I believe not just a man, but a woman can also fall in love with more than one person at the same time,” Ali said during the interview.

He added that such narratives are rarely shown on television due to fear of public backlash. “We do not show these stories because people react strongly. Most of the time, the story is told only from the man’s point of view,” he explained.

    Instagram Post

Ali also spoke about audience feedback regarding his current drama Muamma. “I get feedback that people feel uncomfortable watching it with their families,” he said, before adding jokingly, “but I know people are still secretly watching it.”

Ali’s comments quickly went viral, drawing mixed responses from viewers online. While some expressed shock, others defended his stance, saying he spoke about emotional possibility rather than action.

One user wrote, “Wth,” while another commented, “Why are people losing their minds? He didn’t say anyone should act on it, he just said it’s possible.”

Some agreed with the actor’s view, saying, “Yes, it’s true,” while others challenged the idea, arguing, “That’s not love. Call it what it is: infatuation or attraction.”

On the personal front, Ali is married to actress Saboor Aly. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Serena Ali, earlier this year.

Ali is currently appearing in Muamma, which stars Saba Qamar as Jahan Ara, also known as Gigi. The story revolves around Jahan Ara, a woman who rents out a portion of her house to married couples.

Outwardly helpful and warm, she gradually becomes involved in their personal lives, forming close bonds with both husbands and wives.

As the drama progresses, Jahan Ara’s actions begin to expose hidden cracks within these marriages. The men lie to their wives to remain close to her, while she carefully manipulates situations to stay central in their lives.

The narrative also connects her behavior to her own past, revealing a troubled marriage in which she loved someone else but ended up marrying a harsh and controlling man. Her emotional void drives her to interfere in the lives of others, leading to betrayal, broken trust and collapsing relationships.
