    A Twitter post from a fan page of journalist Mansoor Ali Khan has stirred controversy by sharing a fake video showing actors kissing in Pakistani dramas. The video, made using AI technology, includes two misleading clips that have drawn a lot of attention.

    The first clip falsely shows actors Bilal Abbas Khan and Durefishan Saleem in a romantic kissing scene. The second clip features fake Hiba Bukhari and Danish Taimoor in a similar moment from the drama Jaan Nisar. However, these scenes are completely fake and do not reflect the original content of the dramas.

    Pakistani dramas are known for maintaining cultural values, and such scenes are not part of the industry’s standards. The fan page that shared the video captioned it, “What has happened to Pakistani dramas? Why are they showing vulgarity? Where is PEMRA and the law?”

    The post has sparked a heated debate online. While some users criticized the supposed content of the dramas, others pointed out the dangers of AI misuse in spreading misinformation. 

    The incident highlights the challenges posed by AI-generated content and its potential to harm the reputation of individuals and industries. 


    The drama Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, a top trending show in India and Pakistan, was a fan favourite particularly for the chemistry between lead characters Mustafa and Sharjeena.


    Fans had even given the couple a cute nickname, Musjeena. However, a video of the drama popped up on social media that raised quite a few eyebrows. The AI-generated video depicted Mustafa and Sharjeena in a kissing scene that never took place.

    Meezan Bank has denied claims of a data breach and unauthorised transactions.

    In a Customer Advisory statement posted on Instagram, the bank stated, “There is news circulating on various Social Media platforms that peoples’ Debit and Credit cards are being charged on several websites without their consent.”

    In a costumer dvisory statement, the bank wrote,

    “There are reports circulating on social media about unauthorized charges on customers’ debit and credit cards. We advise our customers to take the following precautions while using their cards online:

    • Avoid using cards on untrusted websites where card information may be at risk.

    • Be cautious of phishing attempts through emails, messages, or calls asking for card details or OTPs, even if they appear to be from trusted sources.
    • Immediately report to your bank if your card is lost or stolen.

    Dozens of social media users reported last week that money was allegedly withdrawn from their bank accounts through unauthorised transactions.

    Customers claimed large sums were transferred from their debit cards without their knowledge, with some suggesting a possible data breach.

    Malik Zaka, a resident of Islamabad, shared in the Facebook group Voice of Customer a day ago that “more than 2 million rupees were illegally transferred from his Meezan Bank debit card.”

    Speaking to Dawn, Zaka explained that money had been transferred from his account on seven separate occasions. “These cards were such that he never used them for internet banking. I have never used cards on the internet, how can this happen?” he said.

    Zaka added, “The money was returned within three hours, but the incident was ‘suspicious’ and claimed that it could be a ‘data breach’ as multiple people were reporting the same incident.”

    Meezan Bank, however, reassured its customers that their data was completely secure, emphasising that there was no security breach.

    A mother of two has slit the throats of her twin sons for “crying too much”.

    As per the details, the mother, Komal Shah of Garibabad in Nawabshah, killed Muhammad Raza and Muhammad Hamza because they were “screaming and shouting”.

    The three-and-a-half-year-old twins were killed within the jurisdiction of the Airport Police Station. Conflicting reports, however, said both children were five and not three.

    SHO concerned Sanaullah Panhwar told media that they found the bodies of the twin brothers in separate rooms with their throats slit. A knife suspected to be the murder weapon was also recovered, and Komal was taken into custody for investigation.

    While the bodies of the deceased were shifted to Peoples Medical University Hospital for autopsy, no case has been filed against the mother, he said.

    If the family does not file a case, the official added, a case will be registered with the government as claimant.

    He concluded that the incident would be investigated from every angle.

    The father of the murdered children, devastated by the loss, told the police that since the birth of the children, his wife’s mental health had deteriorated. “I forgive my wife for the murder of my young children,” he said.

    Other family members and neighbours also testified that the woman was mentally unstable.

    It is pertinent to note that more than one in every 10 women suffer from postpartum depression.

The treatment usually includes hospitalization, psychotherapy and medication.

    Journalist Muhammad Malick claimed on Thursday that former Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan gave a tough time to different leaders of his party during a meeting at the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi on Thursday.

    Malick said on his talk show programme KHABAR that former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi bluntly told Imran Khan, “You have appointed jokers to key positions.” 

    Imran Khan met with Senator Shibli Faraz, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, former party member Fawad Chaudhry, Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Ali Amin Gandapur and lawyer Salman Akram Raja at the jail. The meeting was two hours long, said the journalist.

    “Instead of initiating agitation after the February 8 general election, you [the party leadership] confined yourself to your home, [….] why did you retreat from D Chowk last month,” Malick quoted Imran Khan as saying.


    Former Foreign Minister Qureshi advised the party to move towards dialogue instead of confrontation, making the case for giving a chance to negotiations and  resolving problems through understanding. If the government is serious about dialogue, they should initiate talks, stated the journalist.

    Qureshi called out party leadership by saying that he has “40 years of experience in politics” and that party leaders must consult him before making a political decision.

    Sources told Express Tribune that Khan was skeptical about the talks, but Gandapur remained optimistic during their meeting. 

    “Wait until Saturday; if the government tries to convince PTI, then move ahead. Otherwise, go for the civil disobedience call,” sources quoted the PTI founder as saying. 

    The jailed head of the PTI posted a message on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday emphasised that two of his demands, including the formation of a judicial commission comprising the three most senior judges, must be established to probe the May 9 and November 26 events and the release of political prisoners must be met.


    “If the government does not act on them by Sunday, the first phase of the civil disobedience movement, a remittance boycott, will begin,” he warned.

    The former Premier clarified to the government that the move to defer the civil disobedience movement was made on the broader national interest. “If the government is not interested [for dialogue], we are not holding a gun to their head. Our offer for dialogue should not be deemed as a sign of weakness,” he said.

    Additionally, Malick claimed that Imran Khan believed that the administration of the newly elected President of the United States (US), Donald J. Trump would be involved in securing his release.

    Reports claim that the biggest clash of the Champions Trophy is expected to be held on February 23, 2025, in either Dubai or Colombo. The complete schedule of the Champions Trophy will be released after the venue is decided.

    The ICC has confirmed the neutral venue for matches between India and Pakistan.

    ICC finally resolves Champions Trophy 2025 conflict

    The International Cricket Council (ICC) has finally resolved the long-standing impasse over the 2025 Champions Trophy.

    Under the agreement, India’s matches in the eight-team event will be played at a neutral venue, while in return, ICC events hosted by India will also be played at neutral venues.

    According to the press release issued by the ICC, “The ICC Board has today approved that matches between India and Pakistan played at ICC Events during the current rights cycle from 2024 to 2027 (which are to be hosted in India or Pakistan) will be played at a neutral venue proposed by the tournament host. This will apply to the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 (Pakistan), ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 (India) and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 (India and Sri Lanka).”

    “In addition, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been awarded hosting rights of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2028, where neutral venue arrangements will also apply. Cricket Australia has also been awarded hosting rights for one of the senior ICC women’s events during the period 2029 to 2031.”

    “The match schedule for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 will be confirmed in the coming days.”

    Pakistan will host another ICC event after 4 years, in which Pakistan has been awarded the hosting of the 2028 Women’s T20 World Cup.

    The 2028 Women’s T20 World Cup will be the first ICC event of the next cycle, and the Pakistan-India fusion formula may also be applied to the Women’s T20 World Cup.

    According to the report, in addition to this, until 2027, both teams will play ICC event matches in each other’s country at neutral venues, and the host board will select the neutral venue.

    India is hosting the Women’s World Cup 2025 and the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.

    The cricket website report states that the ICC Board will formally approve the agreement between Pakistan and India.
