KRQ says kidnappers named two VERY famous actors

Controversial writer Khalilur Rehman Qamar has claimed that his kidnappers named actors Noman Ijaz and Saba Qamar during his abduction.

In a podcast interview, Qamar recounted his kidnapping, explaining that he hesitated to file a report because the kidnappers had named Noman Ijaz and Saba Qamar.

“I dislike Noman Ijaz, but he is an outstanding actor. Despite my differences with Saba Qamar, I admire her acting. These are not the kind of people who would do such a thing,” Qamar said, implying that the kidnappers were trying to confuse him.

Qamar expressed surprise at the support he received from Indian fans during the ordeal, noting the contrast with the hostility and mockery he faced in Pakistan. “I didn’t know the kidnappers’ motives. I was just worried about my wife and daughters. When they tortured me, I told them to kill me if they wanted,” he added.

He shared that his wife now wants to leave Pakistan due to the distress caused by the incident, but he remains deeply attached to his homeland and has no plans to emigrate.

The kidnapping and robbery took place last week in Lahore. According to the police, a woman called Qamar on his phone and invited him to her house to discuss a drama project. When he arrived, armed men abducted him and carried out the robbery.

The internet had little sympathy for the misogynistic writer, who is known for misbehaving with many women. He has also said that he is waging a war against feminists.

Saba Qamar becomes KRQ’s latest target in hate-spewing spree

Controversial screenwriter Khalil ur Rehman Qamar can’t stop himself from passing inane and negative comments about people in the industry. He has now declared that he will never work with leading actress Saba Qamar.

Previously, the screenwriter had drawn controversy when he publicly refused to work with megastar Mahira Khan.

During a recent podcast, the host asked Qamar if there was any actress he would never cast in his dramas. In response, Qamar explicitly mentioned Saba Qamar, stating that he would not cast her in any of his projects due to her choice of “vulgar” attire, which he believes is against his standards.

“There is no doubt that Saba Qamar is an excellent actress and she performed brilliantly in one of my past dramas. However, her current choice of clothing is against our culture and my principles,” the playwright explained

    .
He acknowledged that Saba Qamar’s wardrobe choices are her personal preference and that he has no issue with her liking them.
However, he emphasized that he has the right to select actors for his projects based on his own criteria.

The playwright further mentioned actors Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddiqui as the actors he would like to work with repeatedly.

Qamar has a long and ugly history of misogyny.

In the past, he faced heavy criticism from the entertainment industry, including from Mahira Khan, for his inappropriate comments towards activist Marvi Sirmed during a TV program about the Aurat March. Qamar then vowed never to cast her in his dramas, saying he would not forgive her. Incidentally, the superstar has never asked for forgiveness from him.

Similarly, during a show, Khalil ur Rehman called former model Iffat Omar a “bad woman.” In response, Iffat Omar challenged him to prove his statement

  • Tumharay Husn Kay Naam: A progressive story comes to a happy conclusion

Tumharay Husn Kay Naam: A progressive story comes to a happy conclusion

It is said “All is well that ends well”, a saying that perfectly captures our feelings for the show Tumharay Husan kay Naam. The drama series that had a slow narrative was weaved so meticulously that the ending made it all worth it.

The coming-of-age story ended beautifully, capturing the essence of true love. Saba Qamar and Imran Abbas portrayed the characters of Salma and Sikandar perfectly; no one else could have done it better.

The actual crescendo was the point when Salma and Sikander’s children put their parents’ happiness before themselves. The last declaration of love by Omar and his acceptance of his father was not just heart-melting but the messaging was done absolutely sensitively. The real win for the drama was its progressive outlook. More of this please, Pakistani script writers!

Everything, from the story to the dialogue and acting, is well-done. The writer, director, and actors of the show deserve a big round of applause for taking it to a satisfying culmination keeping its essence of old-school romance intact.
As we say goodbye, we are reminded of the memorable tune of the show, echoing the poet’s words, “The music in my heart I bore long after it was heard no more.” The excitement for Monday episodes, the soulful title track, and the chance to escape from daily routine and connect with the main characters as they navigate through challenging relationships—all of that comes to a graceful end.
