During a recent appearnce on Geo News show Hasna Mana Hai, she said, “I get pulled into issues for no reason, and sometimes it makes me feel like Pakistan’s Kangana Ranaut,” referring to the Bollywood actress known for multiple controversies and constant media attention.

Talking about rumors surrounding her personal and professional life, Nazish said, “Whatever I say, it turns into a controversy, even though I gain nothing from it.” She dismissed the notion that controversies boost an actress’s career, adding, “Not a single controversy has ever given me extra work or opportunities.”

She admitted her frustration with false stories, saying, “Once something spreads, you almost cannot control it. I cannot clarify every misunderstanding or make everyone understand the truth.”

Mahira–Fawad enthrall in ‘Neelofar’ trailer as countdown to release begins

The official trailer for the Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan starrer Neelofar was released online today, setting off a strong wave of anticipation as the 12-day countdown begins for its nationwide cinema release on 28th November. With pre-sale tickets now live across Pakistan, audiences are gearing up for one of the most talked-about films of the year.

Starring Pakistan’s most iconic on-screen pair, Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan, Neelofar marks a major milestone as Fawad takes on the role of producer for the first time.

The trailer introduces Mahira as Neelofar, a visually impaired woman whose gentleness and quiet resilience form the emotional core of the story. Fawad appears in a more restrained, introspective role as a man caught between love, responsibility, and the consequences of choices he cannot undo.

Visually, the trailer stands out for its warm, poetic cinematography.

Soft lighting, intimate framing, and a muted colour palette give the film a timeless feel, while the score adds an undercurrent of nostalgia and
    longing.

  • ‘I will do it again’: Talha Anjum fires back at critics after waving Indian flag during concert

‘I will do it again’: Talha Anjum fires back at critics after waving Indian flag during concert

Singer Talha Anjum has responded to the intense backlash he faced after waving an Indian flag during a performance in Nepal.

The 30-year-old rapper, known for his blunt attitude and quick temper, performed in front of a massive audience when a fan handed him the Indian flag. Anjum draped it over his back, and the clip spread rapidly across Pakistani platforms.

Critics reminded him that Indian platforms, including YouTube and Spotify, removed his tracks earlier this year after tensions rose between Pakistan and India in May.

They questioned why he chose to show affection to a country where the government has “banned” him.

Anjum responded directly on X (formerly Twitter) and refused to back down. He wrote, “My heart has no place for hate. My art has no borders. If me raising an Indian flag sparks controversy so be it. I will do it again. I will never care about the media, the war mongering governments and their propagandas. Urdu rap is and will always be borderless.”

His post triggered a flood of reactions.

One user commented, “If you had raised both Pakistani and Indian flags together then your words had weight.”

Another user mocked him, saying, “Views nahi aa rahe kya bhai,” while someone added, “Phir bhi kam nahi mily ga.”

But not everyone criticised him. Some users defended Anjum’s stance and said art should rise above borders.

One user wrote, “Raising any country’s flag won’t make you anti-Pakistan.”

Another encouraged him, adding, “Keep spreading love. Ignore the hate. Real art connects hearts, not divides us.”

A user praised him, saying, “I support you Talha. A confident nation does not panic over symbolism, it stands firm on values. Shahbash!”

In July, he faced backlash after he lashed out at fans during a concert in Islamabad when objects were thrown on stage. His outburst sparked a nationwide debate about concert etiquette and artists’ reactions.

Weeks later, he stirred controversy during an Instagram livestream where he verbally attacked critics who accused him of “selling out.”

He said he was tired of constant negativity and pressure.

Talha Anjum now stands at the centre of yet another heated online battle, but if his latest statement is any indication, he has no plans to back away from his bold, borderless approach.

  • Case No. 9: When Ego Takes the Stand and Justice Fights Back

Case No. 9: When Ego Takes the Stand and Justice Fights Back

Case No.9 Episodes 15 and 16 were like we predicted it! Kamran (Faysal Quraishi) was unable to control his ego and thought he could take down Beenish (Amina Shaikh), in a dream no less and thought he was fully able to make it a reality. He failed of course, revealing that he had no evidence that Sehar (Saba Qamar) had been flirting with him whereas Sehar had evidence that he was the one who was after her. Beenish’s epic takedown of Kamran’s staff member was also full of suspense when the information was being relayed to her by her fellow lawyer. In that moment, when Beenish was given information that could help the case, you couldn’t help but think that doing the right thing is so very hard with so many hurdles.

But it seems like the hurdles are clearing, as we see Inspector Shafeeq (Gohar Rasheed) also feeling the burn has his superior tells him that Kamran is taking the stand and he might be exposed, we see Kamran’s lawyer pleading with Kamran not to take the stand (when the law gave him the right not to take it), but Kamran’s ego getting in the way and we also see it, in the most complicated way with Rohit (Junaid Khan).

It is clear that the drama will take the direction of Rohit having to make a choice between his friend who saved him from a blasphemy mob and his friend who is a rapist and he knows about it. He will have to accept that Kamran is not the same person he thought he was but can Rohit’s guilt of convicting his friend get out of his way of doing the right thing? That will be the most important break and crack in the case and Kamran and Rohit’s business and friendship.

The show is getting so gripping that you have to see the teaser for the next episode because you must know what happens. We see in the teaser that Kiran (Rushna Khan) confronts Rohit and he has a breakdown and a big showdown in court between Sehar and Kamran.

While the showdown seems to be one of Sehar finally taking charge of her rights and really letting go and giving it to Kamran, it also seems a bit out of place in this very realistic drama. Are there really outbursts like that in court between a rapist and a rape vicitim? One would like to believe so, despite seeing that Sehar might be taken in for contempt of court, but secretly happy that she faced her attacker and told him exactly what she thought of him.

Only time will tell until next week.

  • It’s official: Mummy 4 is coming to screens

It’s official: Mummy 4 is coming to screens

Almost 25 years after Brendon Fraser stormed into cinemas in The Mummy, the star has been signed on to star in a sequel, officially confirming that the fourth part of the franchise will return to big screens.

The fourth part of the iconic smash hit series is still in the development stage, with very few details leaking out as yet. Industry insiders have speculated that the film will likely be released in 2027, as the full cast hasn’t been finalised yet and production hasn’t even begun.

A Hollywood trade report has confirmed that both Brandon Fraser and Rachel Weisz have signed on to reprieve the roles of madcap adventurers Rick O’Connel and Evelyn Carnahan. While the rest of the cast hasn’t been confirmed yet, fans expect no less than the return of the titular villain Imhotep, played by Arnold Vosloo and Evelyn’s perpetually-in-trouble brother Jonathan, played by John Hannah. No word yet on who will play the leading duo’s now grown-up son or even if the character will be a part of the new film.

Universal Pictures is playing its cards close to the chest, revealing no details. However sources have disclosed that the film will be a sequel and the events of the third part of the franchise, Mummy 3, will be ignored by the new film.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillent, known collectively as Radio Silence, have been given the task of revitalizing this long-dormant film property as directors. David Cogeshall will pen the script.

Universal is also releasing a reboot of its 1930s horror hit The Mummy in 2026, however that film has nothing to do with this one.

  • Faryal Gohar finally discloses details about second marriage, and how it ended in tragedy

Faryal Gohar finally discloses details about second marriage, and how it ended in tragedy

Yesteryears actress Faryal Gohar has finally opened up about her second marriage after a tumultuous divorce with actor Jamal Shah.

Faryal, widely considered one of the most beautiful actresses to have graced a Pakistani screen, gave an interview to a private channel recently, where she talked about her life after she split from the star.

The famously private actress, who largely retreated to private life, confessed that she got married in 2002 to a dermatologist in California, USA.

“I met him at my dentist’s clinic. He was my dentist’s brother,” she disclosed, adding that her husband, Irfan Jamil, was “a very good person.”

The marriage lasted for nine years, ending only when he passed away of cancer. “I have lost a lot of loved ones to cancer,” she said. Faryal then said that she spends her time taking care of her pets.

Faryal married actor Jamal Shah in 1983, becoming one half of a power couple the likes of which Lollywood had rarely seen. The glamorous duo were among the most sought-after stars of the decade. The marriage ended in 1992.

Already a successful model, Faryal reached the peak of popularity with the smash-hit drama Chand Grehan. She also did many plays, some of them with her sister, powerhouse actress Madeeha Gauhar, who also passed away of cancer in 2018.

  • Ajay Devgn reacts to wife Kajol saying marriages should have an ‘expiry date’

Ajay Devgn reacts to wife Kajol saying marriages should have an ‘expiry date’

Actor Ajay Devgn has reacted to his wife and Bollywood superstar Kajol’s recent comment about if marriages should have an “expiration date”.

Speaking on her recently-released OTT show, Kajol reflected on the evolving meaning of love and relationships in the modern era.

During the conversation, her co-host Twinkle Khanna asked whether marriage should come with an “expiry date” and the option of renewal. Kajol agreed with the idea, while Khanna and guests Vicky Kaushal and Kriti Sanon disagreed.

“I truly believe this. What guarantee is there that you marry the right person at the right time? Having a renewal option makes sense. If there’s an expiry date, no one would have to endure pain for too long,” Kajol said.

With Kajol’s statement stirring a debate over the internet, her husband and actor Ajay Devgn shared his perspective in a separate interview, saying that the meaning of love has changed over time.

“Love has become ordinary. It’s not what it used to be. The words ‘I love you’ are now used so casually that they’ve lost their depth. Back in our time, saying ‘I love you’ was a big deal. Today, people don’t understand the gravity of those words.”

Actor R Madhavan echoed Ajay’s sentiments, noting that earlier generations treated love with great sincerity and even signing a card carried deep meaning. Ajay added that nowadays, “every message ends with a heart emoji or simply with ‘love’.”

Kajol and Ajay Devgn first met on the set of the 1995 film Hulchul. Four years later, the two tied the knot, becoming one of Bollywood’s most celebrated couples.

  • ‘No ethics’: Amitabh slams secretly-recorded video of hospitalised Dharmendra

‘No ethics’: Amitabh slams secretly-recorded video of hospitalised Dharmendra

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has slammed the people who secretly filmed a video inside Breach Candy Hospital where 89-year-old fan favourite Dharmendra was admitted after suffering a medical emergency.

Taking to X, Amitabh wrote, “No ethics, koi bhee achaar-neeti nahin.” The video, filmed inside a hospital room, shows Dharmendra hooked up to various machines and appearing unconscious while his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol stand by his bedside. A woman who’s face cannot be clearly seen can be heard sobbing and asking Dharmendra in Punjabi to not go away.

At one point, a very emotional Bobby holds his father’s feet while Sunny hugs the crying lady and leads her to a chair. More people can be seen in the room, however, most of them do not look like hospital staff.

Some Indian outlets have reported that the video was filmed by a member of hospital staff.

Social media burst out in outrage over the video, with many calling it a breach of privacy. Breach Candy, a swanky hospital that is frequented by many of Mumbai’s rich and famous, has not commented on the matter. As of now, no staff member has been charged or arrested for filming the actor in the room.

The popular actor, known in the 80s as Bollywood’s ‘He-Man’, was admitted to the famous Breach Candy Hospital on November 10 after he complained of breathing issues while at home.

As news spread of the legendary star’s illness, his famous children started visiting one by one. Footage captured by paparazzi outside the hospital showed Dharmendra’s eldest son, the action star Sunny Deol, leaving from hospital looking visibly emotional. Some news outlets were quick to report that the 89-year-old had been put on a ventilator or had died, but Sunny’s team then put out a statement saying, “Dharamji is still in the hospital. Doctors have not advised him to go home. His condition is improving. He is being monitored and is not on a ventilator.”

Later in the night, A-listers of the Indian film industry, including superstars Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan, visited Dharmendra in hospital. His younger son, Bobby Deol, his wife Hema Malini and his daughter Esha Deol also visited the actor in hospital.

As fans prayed for Dharmendra, news outlets again jumped the gun late at night, saying that he had died. Early on the morning of November 11, Esha Deol took to Instagram to confirm that her father was recovering. In a blistering attack on media, she wrote: “The media seems to be in overdrive and spreading false news. My father is stable and recovering. We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for Papa’s speedy recovery.”

The Punjabi star was discharged and sent home to recover one day later.

Dharmendra was born in Punjab in 1935. The actor has a career that spanned over six decades, and included streaks of hits including his most famous role, smash hit Sholay’s Veeru. He has remained active in the industry even late in his career, last appearing on screen in 2024 in the film Teri Baaton Main Aisa Uljha Jiya.

  • ‘Whatever I do, your parents won’t like me’; Jama Taqseem kills joint family system with a single line

‘Whatever I do, your parents won’t like me’; Jama Taqseem kills joint family system with a single line

Episode 19 of Jama Taqseem has everyone raving and for good reason. What a stellar representation of the joint family system and the clear hypocrisy of the beti versus the beta.

The episode opens back up with Laila (Mawra Hocane) and Qais (Talha Chahour) arguing over their parents who are both living in the house with them. The traditional mindset vs. the modern is what is at play here and the couple is caught in the middle.

When Qais comes home, his parents make it a point to tell him that his wife has not been home, went to interview for a job when she’s not allowed to work and they got the worst food to eat. They, of course, threaten to leave.

Qais takes all of that energy and dumps it on Laila when she comes home, in a scene where many viewers are calling him a “man-child”.  Laila handles Qais telling her that she needs to take care of his parents and to ask her parents to leave the house so he is comfortable. Laila voices what most daughters-in-law feel and says “Mai kuch bhi karoongi, woh mujhe pasand nahi kareingay”. So she might as well do what she wants. And what she wants to do is work. When Qais asks how she can work without telling him, she reminds him that they had decided that she would work before they got married.

Regardless, Laila goes out of her way to make sure her in-laws are comfortable, but it does seem like she’s drawing from her mother’s determination and tells them that she is going to work, and would like them to pray for her.

The bird’s eye view on this episode is Laila’s headstrong mother and Qais’ equally headstrong father. Both have opposing points of view, and support, from their other half and both are unwilling to change. As Laila’s father tells her mother, both families having different views doesn’t mean one is wrong and one is right. He comes out as the real voice of reason. Qais’ mother on the other hand, is totally under her husband’s influence, calling Laila’s mother out on not being religious, which is just in bad taste – but happens so often. The religion card being the one that makes one better than the other is often thrown at Laila’s parents.

But Laila’s mother cannot be taken lightly. She takes them on like a champion, but like her daughter tells her, she’s also being judgemental.

Qais’ father is no less. He asks his son in a degrading manner if he will eat from his wife’s money and Qais like a real man, says if he has to, then why not? There’s nothing wrong with it.

The whole idea that this is Qais’ house – and therefore, his parents’ house – arises again but this time its clear as day how hypocritical it is. It happens when Qais’ parents are talking to their daughter and she says that if she was in the city, she would bring her parents to her house and in the same breath says how and why were Laila’s parents living in Qais’ house. The drama’s trajectory is clear. It smashes mindsets and society in one clean swoop and so beautifully, that you can’t stop watching it.

What about Laila and Qais in this whole tug of war?

Qais apologises to Laila when he finds out that she is still trying to make his parents comfortable and he stops her parents from leaving.

The dream team is still working together and that’s who everyone is rooting for.

  • Sania Mirza opens up about ‘lowest moment’ after divorce with Shoaib Malik and Farah Khan saved her

Sania Mirza opens up about ‘lowest moment’ after divorce with Shoaib Malik and Farah Khan saved her

Former Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza has revealed that she suffered something that was very similar to a panic attack after her marriage with Pakistani cricketing star Shoaib Malik ended.

The tennis player invited Bollywood choreographer Farah Khan to the first episode of her podcast ‘Serving it Up With Sania’. There, she revealed that Farah was standing by her during the low moment which took place just before she was supposed to start recording a live show.

“There was a moment that was one of the lowest moments when you (Farah Khan)

showed up on my set and I had to go on a live show after that,” Sania said. “I was shivering. And if you would not have come there I wouldn’t have done that show. You told me, ‘No matter what, you are doing this show.’”

Farah recalled that she was “scared” to see Sania on that day. ” I had to shoot that day, but I just left everything and came there in my pyjamas and chappals.”

Farah then went on to praise Sania for being an exemplary single parent. “You’re doing it beautifully,” she remarked.

Sania married Shoaib in 2010 at the peak of her tennis career in a multi-day ceremony that spread out across India and Pakistan. The two became parents to a boy in 2018, naming him Izhaan Mirza Malik. While the couple managed a long-distance relationship, rumours and speculation about the state of their marriage followed them for years.

In January 2024, Shoaib announced that he had married actress Sana Javed, after which Sania’s family admitted that the star couple was already divorced.

Sania’s sister Anam Mirza said at the time that the couple had formally separated months before the public acknowledgement of their divorce.
