  • Aima Baig, Zain Ahmad debunk breakup rumours with surprise video

Aima Baig, Zain Ahmad debunk breakup rumours with surprise video

Weeks of gossip about Aima Baig and Zain Ahmad’s separation came to an end on Tuesday, after the couple appeared together in a new video, shutting down all rumours of a split.

The speculation began when Aima suddenly disappeared from Instagram a few weeks ago. The buzz intensified when Zain briefly removed their wedding photos from his profile.

Fans quickly linked both moves and believed the couple had parted ways within their first year of marriage.

In absence of an official statement from the two, rumours kept spreading.  Aima stayed away from the music scene and stopped posting updates, while Zain focused on his brand without addressing the chatter.

Things escalated when followers noticed that Zain resumed posting normally but still avoided sharing any photos with Aima.

Many took it as a sign that the relationship had hit a rough patch.

However, the new video has now cleared the air. Aima and Zain appear together and look completely at ease, confirming that the marriage remains on track and the rumours were nothing more than social media noise.

Zain has also restored their wedding photos on Instagram, putting another rumour to rest.

Just two days ago, Aima sparked fresh excitement with a pair of mysterious Instagram Stories.

In one teaser, she wrote, “You were not supposed to see me yet… but the countdown has begun,” adding a playful wink.

In the second, she dialed up the suspense: “Early return. Big drop coming. That’s all I’m gonna say for now.”

Aima did not reveal any further details, but her sudden return to teasers has already reignited buzz across fan pages and entertainment circles.

Many believe she may be gearing up for a long-awaited track or a full musical comeback, especially considering her past hits like Baazi, Malang and several popular OSTs.

‘And so this is goodbye’: Ali Tareen says he would rather lose Multan Sultans than run it on his knees

Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen has stepped away from the franchise, saying he cannot continue if it means compromising his principles.

“Being part of this team has been one of the greatest honours of my life. I love the fans, I love this team, and I absolutely love being able to represent South Punjab. Something my late uncle Alamgir Tareen was especially proud of,” Tareen wrote in a heartfelt social media note to fans.

He said he always reminded players and staff that south Punjab represented hard work and resilience. “The fans will forgive you if you lose, but they will never forgive you if you stop fighting.”

He explained that financial losses never pushed him to quit. “The Sultans have always meant more to me than just numbers. And I have always been willing to go as far as needed to protect it.”

Tareen added, “I have always spoken my mind. I never learned how to play it safe or just play along. If staying means compromising those principles there is only one choice I can make.”

His parting words summed up the decision, “I would rather lose this team while standing on my feet than run it from my knees. So, this is goodbye.”

The last PSL franchise agreements have officially ended after the 10th season, and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is now renewing contracts for Season 11 with the addition of two new teams.

Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, and Quetta Gladiators have accepted PCB’s new proposal and will continue with the same owners.

Multan Sultans, on the other hand, seems to be at loggerheads with the PCB, as the two sides also earlier engaged in a public feud.

  • ‘Pakistan never targets civilians’: ISPR chief rubbishes Afghan claims

‘Pakistan never targets civilians’: ISPR chief rubbishes Afghan claims

Pakistan Army’s Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that Pakistan always conducts its strikes openly and never targets civilians.

Addressing a media briefing on Tuesday, hours after the Afghan Taliban accused Pakistan of carrying out overnight strikes inside Afghanistan, General Ahmed Sharif clarified that Pakistan does not differentiate between “good” and “bad” Taliban. “There is no distinction among terrorists. A terrorist is a terrorist,” he stated firmly.

He added that Pakistan responds as a responsible state. “Whenever Pakistan strikes, we announce it. We never target civilians. Blood and trade cannot go together. It is not possible that we keep facing attacks and still continue trade,” he noted. “Our issue is with terrorism, not with the Afghan people.”

Refuting the allegations emanating from Kabul, he said, “Pakistan Army has not attacked civilians inside Afghanistan.”

The ISPR chief also urged the Afghan Taliban to behave like a responsible state rather than non-state actors. “The Taliban government must decide as a state. How long will it remain an interim government?” he questioned.

He further called for an immediate ban on non-custom-paid vehicles, saying many terrorist incidents involve the use of such vehicles.

Speaking about the case of former DG ISI General Faiz Hameed, Sharif said the matter is purely legal and unnecessary speculation should stop. “Once the case reaches a final decision, the authorities will announce it immediately,” he added.

Gen Hameed has been in custody since August 2024. On August 12, 2024, the military announced the initiation of court martial proceedings against him over allegations of violating the Army Act and misconduct, based on a complaint filed by the owner of a private housing society.

  • Saudi Arabia to open two new alcohol stores: reports

Saudi Arabia to open two new alcohol stores: reports

Saudi Arabia plans to open two new alcohol stores, including one serving non-Muslim foreign staff at state oil giant Aramco, as the Kingdom continues to ease long-standing restrictions, foreign media reports said citing sources.

According to Reuters, the new outlets will be located in the eastern province of Dhahran and in the port city of Jeddah for diplomats.

The move marks another milestone in Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s efforts to open up the country. Last year, Saudi Arabia opened its first alcohol store for non-Muslim diplomats in Riyadh, ending a 73-year ban.

The Dhahran store will be set up inside an Aramco-owned compound and will serve non-Muslims working for the company. The other store is planned for non-Muslim diplomats in Jeddah, where many foreign consulates are located.

Both stores are expected to open in 2026, though no specific timelines have been confirmed.

While the government’s media office did not immediately respond to questions, Aramco declined to comment, reports said.

The Riyadh store, located in a discreet building in the diplomatic quarter and known among some diplomats as the “booze bunker”, recently expanded its customer base to include non-Muslim Saudi Premium Residency holders.

These residences are granted to entrepreneurs, major investors and individuals with special talents.

Before the Riyadh store opened, alcohol in Saudi Arabia was largely accessible only through diplomatic mail, the black market or homebrewing.

Naseem Shah’s cute reaction to fan selfie request

Taking selfies with favorite celebrities or athletes is a fan favourite activity, and cricket lovers in Pakistan often consider it an honor to capture moments with their national heroes.

After a recent tri-series match, cricketer Naseem Shah approached fans near the stands to interact with them.

When a fan, who cannot be seen in the video but sounded like a girl, asked for a selfie, Naseem Shah playfully replied, “Yaar ghar se daant paray gi, qasam se sach bata raha hoon, mere abu boht daanttay hain.[My family will scold me, I swear I am telling the truth, my Dad scolds me a lot].”

His spontaneous response made everyone around him burst into laughter.

Fans quickly shared the moment on social media. One wrote, “Awww very innocent.” Another commented, “I hope this conduct stays forever.” A third fan said, “Awwww sadqay.”

This is not the first time Naseem has shown his candid and humble side.

When cricket fans rushed to secure tickets for the upcoming tri-nation series and Champions Trophy 2025, Shah went viral for his honest response on a Pakistan Cricket Board podcast.

“Brothers! We get only get three or four tickets… and there are hundreds of people asking for them. Please don’t be upset with us. Sometimes, we even have to refuse our family members,” Shah confessed.

He added that it was a tough spot and players couldn’t make everyone happy, urging fans not to ask for tickets.

  • Adiala superintendent breaks silence on ‘Imran Khan operating X account from jail’

Adiala superintendent breaks silence on ‘Imran Khan operating X account from jail’

The superintendent of Adiala Jail has categorically denied claims that incarcerated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan was operating his X account from inside the prison.

In a report submitted to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on a petition seeking an end to the practice, the superintendent said that Khan remained under strict surveillance and had no access to any device capable of connecting to the internet.

He emphasised that Khan and the staff assigned to him were regularly searched with no prohibited items, including mobile phones, ever recovered.

The report further highlighted that mobile signal jammers were installed within Adiala Jail, blocking signals across the facility and surrounding areas, making it impossible to operate any online account from inside the prison.

Refuting allegations of digital activity originating from jail, the superintendent clarified that Khan’s X account was being managed externally by individuals not linked to Adiala Jail. He added that the former premier was only provided facilities permitted under jail regulations or granted through court orders.

The clarification comes as the IHC hears a petition demanding the removal of unlawful or disruptive posts from Khan’s account and seeking to restrain future dissemination of similar content. The petitioner has argued that Khan’s alleged online activity while in custody could incite public unrest and threaten public order.

Last year, PTI leader Raoof Hasan had claimed that Khan’s official X account was being operated from the United States (US) where the party’s social media team is based.

Karachi man arrested for hacking women’s social media, reveals shocking details

A man arrested for hacking women’s mobile phones and social media accounts has revealed startling details about his activities in Karachi, news media have reported.

According to reports, the suspect, identified as Sameer aka PK, told investigators that he bought malicious links from a Lahore resident for Rs 5,000 and used them to hack accounts across multiple social media platforms.

He admitted that after accessing the accounts, he collected personal information and lured victims to meet him. Sameer said he has studied till only the seventy grade and is unemployed. He said he learned these hacking techniques through online groups.

DIG South confirmed that a special Karachi-based investigation team has been formed to probe Sameer’s confessions.

The team will examine laptops and mobile phones recovered from him. Federal intelligence agencies and the Counter-Terrorism Department are assisting in the investigation.

Sameer was initially arrested by District South police near Eidgah, Karachi, and his disclosures are helping authorities uncover the methods used by cybercriminals to target women.

The revelations provide Karachi police with critical insights into online predatory networks, allowing them to prevent further attacks.

The case follows another cybercrime crackdown in December 2024, when the Federal Investigation Agency dismantled a blackmailing ring involved in creating and distributing inappropriate videos of women to extort money.

The key suspect, identified as Zainul Abideen Shah, was arrested from a private hotel in Karachi. Investigations revealed the group included self-proclaimed journalists and operators of fake newspapers who used unethical content to blackmail individuals.
