    Karachi family shocks social media with claim of being Salman Khan’s blood relatives

    A family from Karachi, Pakistan, claims to be blood relatives of Indian ‘Dabangg’ hero Salman Khan.

    According to a video report by private TV Express, Bari Mamu, who came to Karachi from Indore during the partition of the subcontinent, claims that Salman Khan’s father is his paternal uncle.

    The elderly man claimed that before India’s 1947 independence, his family and Khan’s grandfather’s family lived in the state of Indore, and the elders of both families held high positions in the state police there.

    According to him, “His family came to Pakistan after the partition of India, while Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan’s grandfather and father remained there because even then they held high positions in the Indore police.”


    Salman Khan’s great-grandfather had married their paternal aunt.

    He also revealed that he had visited India twice since 1980 and had stayed at Salman Khan’s residence. “The two families are still in contact,” he added.

    Mamu’s son claims that Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, and Sohail Khan came to Karachi in the 1980s when the three brothers were “young.”

    He allegedly recalls, “After coming to Karachi, Arbaaz Khan rode a motorcycle here and had an accident and had to stay in Karachi for three months.”

    He also claimed that “Salman Khan bought jeans from the Lighthouse in Karachi.”

    “I have also been to Mumbai, where I stayed at Salman Khan’s house, while Salman Khan and I have also met in Dubai,” he added.

    The video of the family claiming to be Salman Khan’s relatives went viral on social media, and users also made interesting comments on it.

    Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Barrister Gohar Khan has stated that party founder Imran Khan has called off ongoing negotiations as the government failed to establish the judicial commission to probe the May 9, 2023, and November 26, 2024 events.

    Speaking to reporters outside Adiala Jail Rawalpindi on Thursday, the Chairman of PTI stated, “If the government today does not announce the formation of a judicial commission comprising three most senior judges either from the Supreme Court or from the High Court to probe the two events, the dialogues will be called off.”

    “I wished for the negotiation to progress with the government, but political differences run so deep that there is no sign of the ice breaking,” Gohar quoted Imran Khan as saying.

    The development comes as negotiations between the Shehbaz Sharif-led government and PTI were initiated in late December to ease political tensions. However, despite the three rounds of talks, PTI complained that their demands had not been addressed.

    The fourth round of talks was expected to take place on January 18 between PTI and the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) led government.

    PTI, in the third round of talks on January 16, had presented its charter of demands before the government negotiation committee, asking for the release of the political prisoners and the formation of a judicial commission to inquire about the May 9, 2023, and November 26, 2024 events.

    “We are not waiting for assistance from any foreign country,” Gohar said in reply when a reporter asked whether PTI is anticipating any message from President of United States (US) Donald Trump in the forthcoming days in Imran Khan’s favour.

    Moreover, Gohar claimed that Imran Khan had affirmed that he would fight his cases in Pakistani courts and would secure his release.

    Additionally, the PTI Chairman remarked that PTI would mobilise all opposition political parties, and efforts would be made against an independent judiciary and the 26th Constitutional Amendment.

    The former ruling party, in its written submission to the government’s negotiation committee, said that it wanted the conduct of the proceedings of the May 9, 2023, and November 24, 2024, commissions to be open to the general public as well as the media.

    The party said that it would identify the political prisoners who were arrested following the events of May 9 and November 24 to 27 or any other political event elsewhere.

Denis Irwin played 56 matches on the international level that representing ireland, and scored 4 goals. He also participated FIFA World Cup in 1994.

     

    After his retirement, he stepped into media and worked on MUTV as a presenter. He was also a columnist for the Sunday World newspaper in Ireland. Denis Irwin also collaborated with RTÉ Sport on its coverage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

    Additionally, Hashem Ashjazadeh, Iran’s Director-General for South Asia and Special Envoy for Kabul, met with Muhammad Sadiq in Islamabad on Monday for discussions. He is Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan.

    Sadiq said there are plans to visit China and Russia to talk with officials about Afghanistan-related matters. The Islamic Emirate has repeatedly stated that Kabul is eager to build friendly ties with its neighbors and within the region. It is also ready to expand its relations with the rest of the world while keeping an eye on economic growth.

    FBR orders cars costing taxpayers billions, parliamentary panel calls for cancellation of order

    A Parliamentary panel has asked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb to immediately halt the purchase of cars for the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). The panel has criticised the purchase as ‘scandalous’ because the FBR is to be rewarded despite being responsible for a revenue shortfall of approximately 384 billion rupees in Fiscal Year (FY) 25.

    The purchase aims to acquire over one thousand motorcars for FBR officers to improve their operational efficiency. The request for the purchase of 1,010 cars was made by FBR chairman Rashid Mehmood Langrial and was approved by Shehbaz Sharif.

    In a meeting presided over by Saleem Mandviwalla of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), the Senate’s Standing Committee on Finance implored both Shehbaz Sharif and Muhammad Aurangzeb to reverse the purchase orders which the FBR had made. Reports reveal that the tax watchdog had given the order to a single car assembler without including any other manufacturers via a bidding process.

    Critics have pointed out that the purchase agreement seems suspicious, while the Standing Committee has said that Islamabad should stop so that the federal government can be spared from further ‘embarrassment’.

    The issue was initially brought to light by Senator Faisal Vawda, who lambasted the purchase order as the FBR had displayed poor performance in its duties. According to reports, Vawda said that the purchase of cars, which will cost the national exchequer a staggering six billion rupees, could only be justified if the FBR could recoup at least half of the tax shortfall of 384 billion rupees.

    He said that FBR officials only deserve the cars if they can cut down on the revenue shortfall and should be penalised instead of rewarded if they fail to do so. The senator even went so far as to call the whole purchase agreement ‘a scam’ as only Honda Atlas had been considered.

    He pointed out how the purchase order and approval from the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) were issued on the same day. According to Faisal Vawda, this indicates the possibility that no other car assembler had even been considered, let alone been given the opportunity to bid for the contract.

    Senator Vawda lamented the purchase, saying that the “doors to corruption have been opened”. This comment was passed as he explained how Toyota Indus had been offering a lower rate with greater features to the government, such as greater fuel efficiency along with a longer after-sale warranty.

    According to reports, the FBR decided to purchase from Honda as they were only allowed to purchase vehicles up to 1300cc, while Toyota’s cars were 1328cc. He also remarked how the FBR had not even considered other car assemblers, such as Nissan and Hyundai.

    Arshad Khan opened the first Cafe Chaiwala branch at 229 Ilford Lane, which has become a favorite hangout for the local community.

    Not stopping there, Arshad’s Cafe Chaiwala opened its first branch in Islamabad, followed by a new location in Murree.

    And now, Arshad Khan is set to make a chai cafe in London, after fans from the UK had requested to taste the karak chai made by the maestro himself.

    The official handle shared by Arshad’s Instagram page is @chaiwalauk_ak, and he had shared a video of the design preps to set up the cafe.

    The official website of the page shared that it was Arshad’s love of chai and his hard work that had led him to open three outlets in Pakistan, and now will be opening a cafe in London.

    The master tape for the track ‘Hot For You, Baby’ was rediscovered and ready for airplay for the first time today. It will also be included in the 40th anniversary edition of the most renowned album of Tina Turner, Private Dancer. 

    Tina Turner passed away in 2023 after a lengthy illness at her residence in Küsnacht near Zurich. She was the great legend and probably the most popular singer in the world. Now, an unreleased song, “Hot for You, Baby,” is discovered. The deep voice of Tina Turner effortlessly and genuinely cheerfully nailed a rather boisterous rock song from the 1980s. Her record label only discovered the tape recently, when they were looking for other unreleased bonuses for the re-release of “Private Dancer.”

    For the very first time, her unreleased track is available to the public. It will feature in an upcoming edition of Private Dancer, which celebrates its 40th anniversary. The release is due on March 21, and it will be available in various formats, which include a limited set of 5 CDs and a Blu-ray that has astonishing new tracks, live shows, and music videos.

Chris Rock made headlines when he walked away during Anthony Pratt’s holiday party for billionaires. According to The New York Post’s columnist Cindy Adams, Rock left because something in the audience bothered him too much to stay. “Our new push will be outer space,” he said, criticizing the Mexicans after making offensive remarks about the party not being on camera. We are going to put all the Mexicans on rockets.

    The source claimed Will Smith had been “almost reveling in Rock’s every agony and twisting the knife for all it’s worth.” Even though Smith has been able to revive his career, he has stuck to his belief that Chris somehow destroyed his life.

    These two have been conflicted since Rock joked about Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head, comparing her to G.I. Jane at the 2022 Oscars. Upset with the remark, Smith got up, walked to the stage, and slapped Rock. He yelled, “Keep my wife’s name out of your mouth.” Will Smith took home the Best Actor award that night. However, the incident resulted in a 10-year ban from the Academy Awards and resignation from the Academy.

    Smith has made several public apologies, describing his behavior as “unacceptable.” Will Smith added that he was overcome with emotion following a joke concerning Jada’s alopecia. Rock has not commented on the issue. It is said that he did not accept Smith’s apology video and referred to it as a “hostage video.” 

    Chris Rock is still troubled by the incident and its aftermath. He is said to be suffering some form of PTSD as a result of the incident, as per sources. Smith’s attempts to reconcile have all been spurned by Rock, who will not speak to him or accept Smith’s apology.

    On a vacation to Aspen, skiing in Colorado, the designer became a victim of an accident and sustained severe brain injuries just days before Christmas. Sadly, she died on Monday following an emergency surgery. Heartbreaking news was confirmed by her son, Sebastion, on Instagram.

     

    Her Son’s Heartwarming Tribute

    Sebastian posted a heartbreaking tribute to his mother on Instagram. He claimed she was his best friend and the most muscular woman he had ever met. In his post, he stated, “Even when facing challenges, a smile stayed glued to her face. I will ensure she is remembered even though she is no longer with us. He promised to carry on her legacy and concluded his note with a sweet climax: “I love you more than life itself, Mum.”

     

    How Did the Unfortunate Accident Happen?

    The accident occurred on the 30th of December while she was on a vacation with the rest of her family for skiing. She was hit and sustained severe damage to the brain. Although she was wearing a helmet, she suspected a concussion and needed medical assistance. According to an Instagram post, she had to undergo an emergency craniotomy on Christmas Eve. In the same post, she shared a picture revealing her partially shaved head with a faint scar from the surgery.

    After the Netflix actor’s jewelry designer passed away, it shocked his co-stars on the show. This was only a few weeks after her emergency brain surgery post-ski accident. ‘Bling Empire New York’ co-stars pay their tribute to Lynn Ban following her unfortunate death. In a statement, Roberts expressed deep sadness and was puzzled when asked about her feelings toward New York Capital Fashion Week.

    Even the craft’s master slurred in grief, “More than anything else, she represented freedom and power.” “Her absence will be deeply felt,” she wrote in her statement to People Magazine before concluding with, “May you find eternal peace, Lynn Ban.”

    Dorothy Wang noted on her Instagram in her very own tribute for Lynn Ban, “Lynn honey, I still can’t believe. You are no longer with us. Last time, we spoke about how beautiful life is and how grateful you are for your second chance. Life sure did change in a rapid sense of time,” she wrote, next to a carousel.

    The actress wished to share a meal, laugh over old times, and say “love you” to Lynn Ban. Another castmate, Tina Leung, shared a video on her Instagram stories of the rain hitting a window. Leung tagged Ban and captioned the video, “Paris is crying with me.” “With us,” she added.

    Additionally, Blake Abbie reacted to the heartbreaking news with another social media post. He had a series of pictures with Ban, and in one of them, he was shown playfully tugging at Ban’s braid as he wrote “One in a billion” over it.
