Cushing syndrome is a hormonal disease caused by an increase of Cortisol in the body. This disease may cause weight gain, fatigue, swelling of the face, headaches, and many other symptoms. 

 

Recently American comedian and actress Amy Schumer disclosed the assessment of this disease. She disclosed this assessment after the comments on his swollen condition on the internet.

Amy Schumer while talking about her illness, says that the doctors are also concerned about her condition after seeing comments about her swollen condition on the internet. She said that doctors diagnosed her with Cushing’s syndrome according to her given condition. 

 

Amy Schumer called this disease a new beginning for herself she also shared her support for women’s health and body positivity.

 

Symptoms and causes of Cushing’s syndrome

The symptoms of Cushing syndrome include weight gain, fatigue, “moon face” (swelling of the face), headaches, weak bones, thinning of the skin and many others.

The usual cause of Cushing syndrome is an excess of cortisol, which can be caused by long-term use of steroids.

 

Treatment and Management

The treatment of Cushing syndrome is based on its reason. If it occurred due to the use of steroids, then stopping or decreasing the quantity of medicines could be beneficial. If it is due to the excess of cortisol then the treatment of Cushing syndrome will be surgery, radiotherapy, or medicine.

 

New Research and Development

In November 2024, a medicine named “Clofotriban” was granted orphan drug status by the FDA for the treatment of endogenous Cushing’s syndrome. This medicine helps to control HSD-1 and it plays a crucial role in the development of cortisol. By the research on this medicine is expected to lead to new advances in the treatment of Cushing’s syndrome.

 

Amy Schumer’s diagnosis is proof that even comments on the Internet can highlight the importance of health.

On December 25, Teresa Giudice said in a podcast episode of “Turning The Tables” that she pushed Cohen while he hosted the show’s season 2 reunion. Other personalities, including RHONJ personalities Jennifer Aydin and Kim DePaola, were also present in the show. Teresa Giudice claims she did not mean to push Cohen during the reunion and was upset with her co-stars.

Jennifer Aydin said in the podcast she thought Cohen was not offended when she pushed him. Nonetheless, Aydin claimed that Cohen didn’t like it when Teresa Giudice took away his cue cards during the season 8 reunion.

“Teresa Giudice pushed him? That’s some drama he relishes. He’s a little drama queen there. But taking away his cards is like taking it away from his work,” Aydin told Giudice.

Giudice claimed she does not recall taking Cohen’s cue cards. “When did I take his cards away?” asked Giudice.

DePaola added, “He got angry with you because you did not like what he asked.” Teresa Giudice responded, “Oh really.” She then apologized to Cohen for acting that way at the reunion.

Teresa Giudice Upsetting Andy Cohen by Grabbing His Cue Cards

After playing a game of “What’s More Villainous?!” on the November 17 episode of “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen,” Giudice found herself asked if she considered it more villainous for “pushing at the season 2 reunion or ripping the cards out of his hands in the season 8 reunion.”

When Giudice said both instances were equally villainous, he admitted he was “more annoyed” by her “ripping the cards out of his hand.” “I didn’t care about the pushing,” Cohen told Giudice.

Giudice then told Cohen she was “sorry.” He added that her act at the season 8 reunion “was a moment in time.” “You were so mad. Oh, boy,” Andy said on the “Watch What Happens Live” episode.

A Texas lady’s dangerous encounter was documented on video as she got dinner with her husband and a random stranger approached her house with a ‘satan mask.’ She was so confused that she didn’t even dare to leave her home.

The Ring camera caught the suspect donning a red satanic goat mask with horns while holding a sign quoting the Bible verse ‘Revelation 20: 1-15’ as he stalked through the sideyard.

The verse refers to a lake of fire, a great white throne, the Devil, Satan, Hades, Jesus, and God in many versions of the Bible.

“I am terrified,” she reported. “I can’t get outside. I am afraid of being at home. Supposedly, it’s the end times.” “It’s about judgment day. I freaked out. I couldn’t even think of anything.” 

The woman, too frightened to reveal her identity, told CBS she and her husband had “gone out to dinner and stopped at the store to pick up a Powerball ticket” on the way home.

“Then there were videos of this person coming towards my door with that goat mask on.”
